The Sims Castaway Stories is the third and final game in The Sims Stories. It was released on January 29, 2008, with a port for Mac OS X released by Aspyr on March 17, 2008.

Instructions for running on Windows 10

  1. Download the “The_Sims_Castaway_Stories.zip” file from the link above. Make sure you download the file properly and that your internet does not disconnect while downloading.
  2. Open the downloaded .zip file and extract the “The_Sims_Castaway_Stories_Windows” folder to your desktop. You will need to use a software such as WinRAR to do this.
  3. Open the extracted “The_Sims_Castaway_Stories_Windows” folder and then open the “Game Files” folder.
  4. Double click on the file called “AutoRun.exe” and the game setup should start. Go through the setup steps – at one point they will ask you to insert a CD-key. Use the following Serial Code: N78Q-RZKW-7428-DB09-DVTY
  5. When they prompt you to register, choose “Register Later”. When your installation completes, they will ask if you want to launch the game. Make sure that you do not launch the game and select “Quit” instead.
  6. Open the “Crack” folder inside the “Game Files” folder.
  7. Drag & drop (or copy) the “SimsCS.exe” file in there to the folder where you installed the game to. By default this would be: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims Castaway Stories\TSBin
  8. When prompted, choose “Replace existing file” or “Copy and replace”.
  9. You can now launch the game using the shortcut on your desktop.
  10. Enjoy the game!

    I instilled it but nothing happens
    i followed everything but i didn’t see the auto exe i n the files at all what did id do wrong i haven’t played this game in years and missed it was excited not now please let me know what i did wrong thx

    Everything works perfectly.. until I open it, enter a game mode and then it just.. closes fully with no error or anything

    its only in a small window for me, is there a way to get it bigger? i looked in the settings but it only says 800×600

    I tried downloading it 2 different times and can’t get it to work. I also downloaded life stories and pet stories — they both work fine. For castaway stories, the setup seems to run fine, but I never get the desktop icon or any actual way to start the game. In documents/ElectronicArts there is no folder for castaway stories like there is for the other two. I’ve downloaded the zip files twice and have uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times, only for nothing to change. Please help!

    It doesn’t work for me. After installing the game and replaced the file, when I tried to open exe, after 1 min a dialog popped up but no content in it, only a button. When I clicked the button, it quit.

    Hey, I don’t know if anyone can help me, but every time I open the game and try to start, the game crashes and closes 🙁 Does anyone have a solution? I’m trying to play on Windows 11

    for the “cannot find DVD-ROM disk drive” skip the step of adding the “crack” file to the TSBin and just put it directly to the desktop and execute from there.

    Never mind on the autorun.exe now working, it was just because I was trying to run it again and I forgot I already had it installed still. I am going to delete everything and start over for like the 10th time.

    This didn’t work for me; I followed all the instructions, and the application would never run. I kept getting a small, blank white box that did nothing.

    The game works quite well.

    Here are some helpful hints about the start of the game.

    1. Reduce the volume from your PC by at least 90%!! If you skip this step you will quickly notice why 😉
    2. After starting the EXE, it takes about 2 minutes until the process is completely loaded. (Don’t forget, it was written for WinXP, the crack needs time to take effect)
    3. By default the game runs in windowed mode (can be changed in the game, in the UI at the bottom left of the picture you will find 3 dots (…) with further submenus, keep your eyes open or just search.
