    Start.exe is incompatible with Windows 10.
    Using the setup folder produced no sound and I got an infinite reload bug.

    I don’t seem to be able to replace Sims.exe with the cracked version, it just makes a shortcut. Anyone have a way to fix this? 🙁

      I dont know. you might have to delete the folder in the programe files maxis and delete the sims folder.

    The Start.exe file is not opening on Windows 10. When I open task manager, it shows it is running as a background process. Have tried running in compatibility mode and as an administrator. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

      I had the same problem. I just opened the Setup-folder and double-clicked the Setup.exe instead, that worked great for me. 🙂

    The Start.exe file doesn’t seem to open for me? Tried opening in compatibility mode/running as administrator but nothing opens. Any suggestions?

      Yes, I had the same problem. I just opened the Setup-folder and double-clicked the Setup.exe instead, that worked great for me. 🙂

    I followed the instructions and the installation seems to have worked, but when I try to launch the game, the screen turns black for a few seconds and then goes back to the desktop. I have tried running as administrator as well as trying different compability modes. Any thoughts on how to solve this?

    every time i opened the file it popped up with “an installation support file could not be installed catastrophic failure”. i deleted the file 3x and it still won’t work and it took me 2 hours to download the file each time. anyone have a solution to this? I even disabled user account to see if it would work.

    i downloaded this ages ago and it worked perfectly but now i play it and stop for a week or 2 then i play it again and i find the houses i made but no sims, i move a sims in and it takes me to build mode and not live mode, it wants to install the expantion packs everytime i load a pre-made household and when i leave back to the neigbourhood can soms one plz tell me if its a compatibillity issue, i believe i might be because ive re-installed the game and everything worked but when i quit and played again after a week nothing, its really a shame because i love this game and the only way i got it to actually work is from this website

      This worked all the way up until actually running as admin, then I get a popup that says “Fatal error! Game cannot be started because: the default graphics card doesn’t support Thousands of Colors. Exit now.” WTF :'((( I JUST WANT TO PLAY
