This totally worked for me, which is AMAZING because this sort of thing seems like a scam or something but NO it worked! Im running it on Windows 10 as administrator and i have now also installed mods which ALSO WORK! But there is a little thing I would like to bring peoples attention to, yes I am grateful for a working copy of TS1 but why on earth are there custom skins installed? theres only a few and tbh it actually made certain aspects of the game more fun but still…

Hello, I didn’t run the setup through start.exe, instead i just opened the “Setup” folder and ran setup.exe, type in the serial code you gave here and chose a location. Everything installed but when I get to the end smth just popped up that i think was supposed to be the EA registration but bcs i didn’t have the “Register later” option i just closed that on “X” and then the last window of the installation popped up and i clicked “Finish”. After that the game run, but i closed that to go crack it like instructed here after which i opened the game through the shortcut i made on the desktop. It opened fast, loaded everything in like 30 secs and I was already in the tutorial family you click at the beginning. Everything works great except the Sims Creator app I tried to open upon closing the game but I’ll figure that out. If not, I still have the game to play normally on Windows 10. I didn’t need to put any compatibility nor run it as an administrator. Thank you so much for making my childhood come back to me <3 All the best!

You may be using non-English version of Windows. You need to change system language: 1) Go to Language setting 2) Go to Control Language 3) In “Language for programs that do not support Unicode”, change the language into English, US.

the setup is not even working. I try to run it as admin but it still does not work urghh.

edit: got it to work after I went into task manager and ended the start.exe task and opened the setup one instead.

Hello! Does anyone know how to uninstall this game? Every time I try I get an “installation support file could not be installed”

works perfectly for me. just followed the instructions as written here and it’s good to go. just had to restart my computer first before it worked.

This isn’t working for me at all unfortunately. I’ve set it up as far as putting the serial code in. When I launch the game, I press start but then nothing happens, no window opens, no error. I’m not sure what I’ve done wrong with this. The only error code I get is when I try to launch The Sim Creator and I get “Please insert the correct CD-ROM, select OK and restart the application”
All in all, I find the download/install directions very confusing. I wouldn’t consider myself unknowledgeable when it comes to tech things but this is beyond my understanding of computers and the instructions aren’t clear at all. Unfortunately will have to delete all of these files.

try restarting your computer and be sure to run as admin. mine didnt work until i restarted. plus make sure you’re launching from the actual game files and not the downloaded crack folder

    Well, that was unexpected. ö.Ö
I was super sceptical, because all the comments say that it doesn’t work, and usually for me things like this don’t even work if they run smoothly for everyone else. Also, my beloved Sims2 runs really poorly since I’ve switched to Windows 10, so I didn’t have much hope.
But despite the download stopping once everything worked out perfectly fine, and I could install and run the game straight away.

The only thing that didn’t work for me was to start the installation via the start.exe; so I opened the “Setup” folder, double-clicked the Setup.exe, and it worked straight away. (I used the serial code from above, EQMV-73XB-F8J4-GSLX-4M67.)

So in case anybody wants to try it: go for it.
It is the strangest feeling ever to be able to play Sims1 again; I hope that I still have all of my old hairstyles, outfits and wallpapers.

Thanks for commenting! At first I was skeptical too, until I saw your comment and did EXACTLY like you instructed to. Works super fine for me 🙂

It’s always a good feeling to be able to re-play your childhood games. Thank you OldGamesDownload! <3

        Right? There is a certain something the Sims1 have that I miss in every other version. Of course, the building mode is clunky, and you can’t zoom or rotate smoothly, you can’t look at things from above, the animations are a bit stiff and the textures are not as refined (all of the above is best in Sims 2 in my book);
but just the way they jump into the hole in the ground, the mini games, the music,…
I still love this game. <3
