      @@nesuro:disqus I had the same problem. You just need to open the “Game Files” then “Setup” then click the “Setup” apllication

        I just want to reply to you so others can see that this comment here solved my issue. If you found your way down here trying to find a solution, keep in mind that what this person here is saying will work… you will still need to follow the other steps that are in the video that has been posted in this comment thread a few times.

    Hey, can anyone help?? I drag the sims.exe to the one installed in the maxis the sims file, and it doesn’t come up with ‘replace’ but to give permission for it the make changes – then nothing happens. Or it just comes up with ‘create shortcut’ and nothing about replace…

    EDIT: I figured it out and I’m rubbish with computers! Lets see how it plays..

    For some reason I’m stuck on the introduction loading screen when I’m first put into the neighborhood. Do this have to do with improperly placing the desktop shortcut for this app?

      okay for some reason i can’t make my own comment? so i’m sorry for hijacking your comment. i installed everything and as soon as i need to put the serial, apparently i don’t have the serial.txt file

    I have installed the game, it starts fine and the main screen works fine, but as soon as i put my sims into a house it loads the house and everything normally, once i try to click on anything to give the sim a command, the game immediately crashes.

    It really works, but has no one else noticed that some clothes are missing and instead there are futuristic robot (?) Outfits?

    It is not bad, but unfortunately my favourit Outfit is missing 🙁
    (black tanktop, short brown skirt)

    what with this strange outfits, where are they coming from?

      Yes! I know this comment is old but I just found this site. I’m missing clothing / skins, too. I remember that outfit! It’s missing for me too. Plus, my favorite — this flowy pastel dress from Livin Large. Did you ever find out why files are missing?

    When I play The sims, every time I try to save it won’t let me is there anything I can do to prevent that, the first time I downloaded it, I put custom content in and every time I put the sims I created in a house, it would not load the sims at all. What would suggest I do to fix the problem?
