    Hello.
I have got the game installed, and I’d like to run it in windowed mode. How would I go about running the crack in windowed mode?

Create a shortcut for the game: right click desktop – click New – click Shortcut.
When you have created the shortcut, right click it and go to Properties. Look in the box with the word Target next to it in the window that pops up. Go to the end of the box and click inside it. Then type space, then type “-w”, no speech marks. Click Apply then OK. Try running it, it should be in windowed mode.

The Zip file doesn’t open. It just says “opening in 2 hours” and it doesn’t move. Any ideas? 🙁
    I want to play this.

Please help. I’ve been trying for days, also redownloading, etc. But no matter what I do it always says (with both setups) “Unknown error encountered, aborting setup…” It opens up for a bit (to the install page) and when I press “install” it then says that.

So i got it downloaded fine, the launcher opens with no issues and I can start the game. But as soon as it starts, its just on a black screen and my monitor displays the screen it has when it doesn’t detect any input. When I alt-tab back to my desktop, everything looks normal and if I hover over the icon for the sims on my taskbar, it shows the sims window with a picture of the neighborhood, but clicking on the window brings the black screen back. Playing on Windows 10 and yes I have tried compatibility with Vista 2 and 3 as well as Windows 7. Any help is appreciated!

If you go back to the properties of the .exe you can select the option to “run in 640×480” and that fixed it for me!

I was able to get it downloaded and running but I’m not able to save the game, is anyone else dealing with this issue or know how to fix it?

Doesn’t launch at all. “start.exe” never shows on screen, “sims.exe” doesn’t show on screen, nothing.

        Okay, just found the solution:

When you extract the .zip, go in the “Setup” folder and launch “Setup.exe” in that folder.

You can then follow the rest of the instructions to install the game.

Note that you will probably have to change the compatibility settings in the cracked Sims.exe file that you copy into your Install directory (i.e. Step 8). I had to do that in order to get the game running.

        Hope this helps!
