    While trying to uninstall The Sims Complete Collection I was getting the error: “An installation support file could not be installed. Catastrophic failure”.

    The solution that finally fixed this problem for me, without having to resort to using Revo Uninstaller, was this:

    1. Open File Explorer and check the ‘Hidden items’ checkbox (under the View tab).
    2. Navigate to C:Program Files (x86)InstallShield Installation Information
    3. Look for a folder named {F2527115-B8BF-4FDB-B5DA-5AADFB7C13E1}.
    4. If folder isn’t there, search folders for ‘Setup.ini’, check for mention of The Sims.
    5. Select the ‘setup.ilg’ file ONLY in the folder and delete it.
    6. Double-click the InstallShield’s Setup.exe in the folder, then click Cancel and Yes, this creates a new ‘setup.ilg’ file.
    7. You should now be able to delete The Sims Complete Collection from Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features.

    Did anyone have trouble loading the Superstar expansion buildings? I get stuck on a loading screen every time when trying to visit buildings here

    If I see the message, “Could not find The Sims data directory”, one more time, I am going to blow my brains out. Can someone please help me? Everytime I click on start I just get a quick s[inning wheel and then nothing. I have read over the directions maybe more than 10 times. HELP!!!

    I have message like this:Unable to start the game cuz the default graphics card does not support thousands of color modes.Idk what the reason.Also i cant delete the game,i have” A MISTAKE.DESTRUCTIVE FAILURE”Idk what to do

      When I tried to install the initial game, it took me a minute to find it because it was simply labeled as “The Sims.” I’m not sure what they’re labeled as for the EPs but my guess is it would be something similar

    start.exe does nothing, you have to go into the setup folder and click setup. good thing for this comment section

    “Solved!! go to your download and open Setup in that folder you will find Setup again. dubble click and it may give a message to restart your pc. do that and click again. it wil show you the message to put in the code! hop it will work for you, i am on windows 11. also check out YouTuber Blake Game. this is where i found this solution! grtz from the Netherlands”
