    It definitely works, thanks!! The only thing is that after awhile it will just randomly stop to where you can’t really press any of the buttons or do anything. Fortunately you can still save, but my workaround is just to end task and reopen. If I save a lot it’s no big deal.

    So those who had issues such as the serial number or had to use the cracked start up. exe.. just letting you know I used the normal start up exe and the serial number provided in the instructions and it worked, so maybe you didn’t type the right serial number in? and those who said there is no music in build buy mode again you are wrong as it this works perfectly on my laptop and it is not slow to load better check your computer requirements before installing as this seems to be a big issue here 100% no issues for me

    Hi! The game works, it’s a bit slow to load but it works! The only bad thing is that it didn’t save my game 🙁 What can i do?

      In order to save your game, you need to run the game in administrator mode. To do this, right click on the shortcut to the game, go to the Compatibility tab, then check the box that says “Run as administrator”. Then click okay, and when you try to save next time, it should succeed.

    All the steps work here except the one where I have to replace the Sims.exe file (cracker version) in the Maxis/ The sims folder
    It informs me that I cannot create a shortcut.. except that normally it does not have one

    So, I did the first step (and yes I did it correctly), but start.exe does not seem to do anythin for me? I get a loading symbol for a second or so, and then just, nothin.

    Ok, so I did point 8 on the instructions, and it did work–the game isn’t stuck on an endless loop. But I can’t play the game without it freezing every now and then. :/

      I copied the installed Sims start file to a new folder (so I’d have a backup) and deleted the original. Then I dragged the cracked one into the Programs/Maxis folder and it worked.

    Ok, so I was able to open the game, but I’m stuck on the map. The expansion packs notifications keep appearing. They don’t stop loading at all. What do I do?

    I was able to get past the serial number part, but I can’t play the game. Every time I click any of the 3 options (Creator, etc.), the game doesn’t open. What’s the problem?

    Hey, it says that my standard graphics card doesnt support thousans of colours and that i have to abort starting the game and you can only press “OK” and then it closes. I am pretty sure my graphcs card is fine, i didnt have this problem when i dowloaded just one sims 1 pack

      I had the same issue. After some light Googling I found that it’s super easy to resolve. Right click on the Sims.exe, select Properties, Compatibility, and then change the Compatibility Mode to “Windows XP (Service Pack 3)” and you’re all set. It seems to be working fine now.

    I have an issue with no available storage on the disc (even though it’s perfectly fine). It shows that I have 0MB of available space and I can’t install it correctly. Any ideas how to solve this?
