    I am not able to replace any files. When I go in the crack file and try and drag it, I only get “cant create a short cut here”.

    It does not work anymore. You cannot save any progress.
    It does download and install. the Sim.exe works when copied and pasted in the proper folder. The game runs nicely until you go to save.

      Just to be certain, the folder’s name is Maxis and not Matrix.
      If that still doesn’t work, then you might have changed the folder where Sims were installed originally. Try re-installing the game and watching the installation path (i.e., folder), where it’s installed.

    I’ve tried getting this ony computer but “Catastrophic Error” comes up. Asked a more tech savvy person to see if they could figure it out with the instructions online and even deleted everything and redownload it.Just want to play. Help!

    had this same issue, was able to fix it! make sure you create a desktop shortcut from the sims application in your program files or wherever you installed the game. now go to the icon on your desktop and follow step 8! i hope this helps

    For me it doesn’t even go through a setup or anything. It goes right into the main menu of the game but it keeps loading in the DLCs over and over and I can’t click anything. Actually had to restart my comptuer because of it.

    Surprised it ran well no crashes on my Alienware x14
    12th i7
    16gb ram
    Rtx 3060 6gbvram
    super overkill for this game but could not get it to run on my legion go which is AMD based. Have a feeling might be the cpus , anyone having problems running amd cpu/gpu?

      Hi – I keep getting error message saying “autorun will only play from installation CD” – any ideas how I can get around that?

    I’m getting a “unknown error encountered, aborting setup” error message when I try try to install after double clicking the start.exe file. Please help, not sure how to get it to install!

    I’ve installed it and it didn’t say anything about register later. So I didn’t do that or the steps after. I can open the game but it says to insert a disk and try again. What do I do?
