    Ok so a few tips:
    – Use Setup.exe to launch, NOT start.exe
    – If you did try to launch start.exe, close ALL of them in task manager
    – COPY AND PASTE the Sims.exe file, not move
    – Then, use Sims.exe to launch
    – It is highly likely your game will loop, simply follow the instructions on this page

      I did it, and follow all the tips. Sadly the game is in the loop nonstop. I can’t exit or do anything at this point. I have to keep on restarting… nauurrrr 🙁

    I am completely stumped. No matter what I do, I follow the instructions to a TEE and something is fucking wrong when I try to move my Cracked SIMS to the MAXIS folder to replace the SIMS.exe and I keep getting “Cannot find SIMS directory” which makes me sad. Not sure what I’m doing wrong but this is ridiculous.

    I installed the complete sims as you described, and am getting small window, and graphics are all smooshed, cant go to full screen, intro starts as program loads and then just crashes.

    I’ve finished installed the game and run the program. But it seems like i can’t play it (yet) because the pop ups on keep appearing. How do i start the game?

    When I try to move the sims.exe into the program files (x86) > maxis > the sims from the sims crack i get a popup saying cant move file here create a short cut instead?

      i right-clicked the crack and pressed copy and i pasted in onto the maxis folder and it worked for me, maybe try that?

    Every time i try to install i get the message that it encountered an error and aborts the installation. I have nothing else running in task manager, and have tried several compatibility settings and always get the same error. Running Windows 10, have tried running the start.exe and setup.exe and same results for both.

    Finally figured it out – make sure there’s no start.exe running in the background on task manager. Then, use setup.exe to install the game! NOT start.exe!

    works, but my issue is… the screen flickers and goes black, i found a temp solution (press left Alt and click, which can make the screen unblack for .5 seconds.) the screen usually black screens on a OK, or click menu via UI.

    any fixes for this?

    Thanks so much, this worked great! The only problem is, no music works in the game. There’s speech and environmental sounds but no music in shop/build mode and no music comes out of the stereo. Anyone have any ideas?

    Start.exe does nothing, also not after setting it to Windows XP and starting it as administrator. When trying the Setup.exe I get this message: “Setup is having trouble shutting down the autoplay program. Please restart your computer and try again”

    I installed everything correctly and the game launches as it should, but I can’t play because the pop-up windows of the expansion packs load forever…literally, my computer is on for 24 hours straight and the pop-ups are still there.

    Hey, the game is working but I have a bug, I cannot wash my dog. When I try to give a bathe to my dog, sim call’s the dog and then they just stand there do nothing and it leaves, which makes issues with dog having low hygiene all the time and I can’t do nothing about it.
