    Hey guys. I was finally able to get the installation going for this game. Hope this is helpful.

    I got it to run today on my windows 10 laptop.
    Note: make sure to restart computer prior to downloading the game

    Steps to download listed below

    1.click on the Barbie_as_the_Princess_and_the_Pauper_Win_ISO_EN.zip file above.
    2. select the archive.org option and download it
    3. unzip the downloaded file in your downloads folder. Once you do click on the file it will take you to a new window that shows the following games files,oldgamesdownload, and readme.txt

    select games files

    4.click on the Barbie as the Princess and the Pauper.iso
    5. you will be taken to the following screen showing the following:

    Files
    Manual
    Pauper
    Support
    AUTORUN.EXE
    autorun.inf
    INSTALL.EXE
    INSTALL.INI
    ReadMe.txt

    Select the install.exe

    6.Proceed with the installation of the game
    7. When downloading the game make sure you save it in your local disk (C:) under program files (x86)
    8.It will create the following folder Barbie (TM) and will store the game on there.
    9. When it ask you to download the desktop icon option do not select it
    10. instead to run the game go to local disk(C:), then program files (x86) then select Barbie (TM) then select Barbie(TM) as The Princess and the Pauper folder
    11.select the launch.exe and screen will pop up to play the game then click on it (full screen view option)
    NOTE:if you select the PPauper.exe option it will pop up a black screen with blue letters saying it the game works best in 800X600, go ahead and pick on the screen with your mouse to prompt game. Game will be shown in 800x 600 monitor view on the laptop

    NOTE: I ran the game without the use of the game disk. Hope it works for you too

    The only way to get past lvl 16 is to give flowers to the ‘good’ singers. When you click on an npc, if they’re a good singer their notes will be colorful.

    i just installed it. it’s work but my screen was cutted off. I can’t see or click the object that lacate on the border of the screen play. So it keep me stuck because i can’t walk to the next scene. help me please.

    the instructions say to mount the iso file but there is no iso file anywhere in the zip. judging by older comments it seems there was at some point but now its gone? so the files run fine but when i launch the game it tells me to insert the CD, which i obviously don’t have. i had this same issue with barbie as rapunzel. really disappointing 🙁

    PLEASE HELP.. i’m stuck because a button won’t work. it’s at the level where you have to pick flowers from the garden. i can’t click the finish button. i beg please how to get past this

      if i remember correctly you have to sing for her to get out of her hide – i think she was in the last room in the castle on the left side, the door before you leave to the garden – it’s like a tower room (sorry for my bad english)

    On level 16 I can sing the notes but once I give the people the flowers a error message pops up then boots me out of the game.

    When i start the autorun or the launch ap, i ve got a dark screen with a blue text saying ” Please insert the Barbie (TM) as the Princess and the Pauper CD and press any Key tp continue or press ESC to quit”
    PLease i need help ._.

      yes ik i got the same mssg as well then i went to files and opened the zip file and selected autorun then it worked, it does not work when u create a shortcut idk why but i was not able to play after the level 16 sooo, hope ur game works

    i reached the quest where i have to find 3 singers and for some reason I can’t sing the notes? I click on a note and nothing happens is anyone else facing this problem plss helpppp

    Here is the solution for those who got a message “please insert CD” after installing the game (I’m using PowerISO)

    1. click left on the ISO file before
    2. choose PowerISO > mount image to drive [:F]
    3. the game will open, choose Play and you’re done!!!!!!

        Same, for me there the AUTORUN file is an exe. If I run it, i do get the start screen however when clicking play the well known ‘ please mount cd’ error came. And as you say, there are no ISO files included to mount. Any solutions to this?
