if i were to uninstall and reinstall, what files need to be carried over to save my pets
I thought I did everything right but it when I click on the shortcut it wont open, what should I do?
Can confirm 14-05-2021 that the pre-installed works. the other version doesn’t run the game…I’ve followed instructions exactly as it is but it just doesn’t start up.
However, I did get not any freezes as mentioned earlier by somebody else. Maybe it’s because I run the game in compatible mode of win. 98 and as administrator just in case!

Oh nvm i fixed it by downloading the pre-installed one. But it does freeze for awhile.
I am running mine as administrator + windows 98 compatible, no freezes so far and I’ve been playing for an hour….also pre-installed version.

Okay so I downloaded it all but it says ‘run as administrator’ (but I’m the administrator) and when I right click it and then click ‘run as administrator’ it just doesn’t do anything. If anything knows how to help me p l e a s e I’m desparate.
I changed the resolution to the “minimum” but it says to have a minimum of 250+ colors too? I don’t know how to fix that to get the game to play.

This was working perfectly untill recently. Now it’s completely broken, errors in activity rooms, broken items, resetting and can’t Pick a Pet.

Change your screen resolution to 1024 x 768, its only a graphics problem. That should fix it, if you still have problems try restarting it.
HOW to change the resolution
It is in your computer display settings – not within the game. I have to change my computer resolution every time I play, but its easy to do. Is there a way to get it to work together with Dogz 5? I tried combining them but it keeps telling me the destination file is invalid or something.
