Guitar Hero World Tour (initially referred to as Guitar Hero IV or Guitar Hero IV: World Tour) is a music rhythm game developed by Neversoft, published by Activision and distributed by RedOctane. It is the fourth main entry in the Guitar Hero series, the sixth on home consoles and the seventh overall. The game was launched in North America in October 2008 for the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Wii, and Xbox 360 consoles, and a month later for Europe and Australia. A version of World Tour for Microsoft Windows and Apple Macintosh was later released.

    Getting this when launching the game checked the files and not seeing it ” the code execution cannot proceed because d3dx9_39.dll was not found”. i already tried reinstalling and checking if stuck in antivirus neither was fixing the issue

    Found fix,
    1. Open Registry Editor and follow the path “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREWOW6432NodeAspyrGuitar Hero World Tour”

    2. Right-click “Path” file then click Modify

    3. In value data paste the pathe that the downloaded game files are, in my case “C:Program Files (x86)AspyrGuitar Hero World Tour”

      You don’t need membership, under the membership options, there is a button to download. However, it has a download limit of 5GB, then you need to wait approx. 6 hours for the limit to reset and continue with the download.

    Hey guys, I think I found a fix. In the registry you have to put the path of your game, under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREWOW6432NodeAspyrGuitar Hero World TourPath – set it to your Guitar Hero World Tour path (Mine was D:Program Files (x86)AspyrGuitar Hero World Tour)

    I don’t want to download the all in one mod game, mainly because I don’t have the time or internet speed to do it, I just want a fix to the base game right now. That YouTube video doesn’t do anything to help me, as far as I can tell

    Got the same problem. Game keeps crashing after I get to “press any button to rock” and I dont know why. I tried compatibility troubleshooting but that got me nowhere. PLease help
