Mayby too late, but there is fix, make shortcut hp6 into desktop, then right click on it and press properties, where is target in end write -refresh60 and apply, then run game.

Adjust your screen refresh rate (Change from 144Hz to 60 Hz)
It works perfectly but it keeps crashing at the bridge quest which makes me rlly sad

For the 0xc000007b error I only did the third step with the DLLS files (after I installed the d3dx9_43 files) and it works!!

BRO ITS STUCK ON A BRIDGE MISSION IM SAD I NEED TO COMPLATE BUT I CANT

I was getting an error in the same mission on the bridge before reaching the Quidditch field by the grounds (in the pre-installed version). I did this to fix it.
1- I downloaded the 2nd version [Harry_Potter_and_the_Half_Blood_Prince_Win_ISO_EN.zip (3.4GB)] I opened it with DAEMON tools to install the game.
2- The game did not work after installing it.
3 – I downloaded the pre-installed version, [Harry_Potter_and_the_Half_Blood_Prince_Win_Preinstalled_EN.zip (3.3GB)] and copied the patched hp6.exe file from this version replacing the one in the Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince™ folder that I had installed before.
As the file was already patched, I run perfectly and it stopped giving errors in the mission.
I also just noticed that above is an Additional files, patches and fixes folder that I had overlooked. If this doesn’t work for you you can try Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Windows NoCD (English)
