Game Description

King’s Bounty is a turn-based fantasy video game designed by Jon Van Caneghem and published by New World Computing in 1990. The game follows the player’s character, a hero of King Maximus, appointed with the job of retrieving the Sceptre of Order from the forces of chaos, led by Arech Dragonbreath.

How to play on Windows

  1. Click on the download button below. It should redirect you to your download (a .rar file). Make sure you download the file properly and that your internet does not disconnect while downloading.
  2. Extract the “King’s Bounty” folder to your desktop.
  3. Download the software DOSBox and put an icon on your desktop.
  4. Open the “King’s Bounty” folder and then open the “Game Files” folder.
  5. Left click on the “KB” application file, and drag it on top of the DOSBox icon on your desktop. This should launch the full game on DOSBox.
  6. Enjoy the game!
