Took a bit of trial and error but I got it working in the end on Windows 11!
After mounting the ISO, run the SETUP.EXE with compatibility mode for Windows 98. Install wherever. Then change your display resolution to 1024×768 and start the game by navigating to /Exe/Loco.exe > right click > Run as administrator
Overlays are a bit glitchy but other than that works like a charm
works until I open the red toolbox, then it crashes

The message i receive is:
“Item not available
The item is not available due to issues with the item’s content.”
I just launched it with display resolution 720p, compatibility mode for XP SP2, and color compatibility mode 16bit, I used the alternative installer you can read about online to install it, the mouse graphic is pretty glitchy though and displays a box around it when your cursor is on top of anything
I really hope someone can get this game running or show prof, I haven’t played this in years and would love to play again
I tried to run this but i cant seem to make it work. i mounted the disk image file, reduced my screen resolution, set the compatibility mode to xp service pack 3 (didnt have anything earlier than that), but when i tried to open setup exe, even as administrator, it just wouldnt open. literally nothing happens after the “would you like this program to make changes to your device” message. i cant open loco.exe without doing the setup though because it asks me to reinstall it which makes sense.
the thing is though, when i was a kid, i used this game on windows 7 so idk what im doing wrong. (and before u suggest it, i literally couldnt find any setting to reduce my colour palette to 16 bit)
The file is probably running in the background and is probably why it is not opening.
hi This is Wright Micah this game installers was upgraded. to aid with 64-bit Windows.
This will also solve some countermeasures when X86 Windows will not install due to Calling NTVDM when the system. Sys is damaged. Which is not incorrect the 32-bit only activates when 16-bit fails. This was a countermeasure for systems Running Windows NT 4 in that time frame. System. Sys does not report back to use 32-bit so it refuses to install. This will not happen with 64-bit Windows.

I am only releasing it is that iv seen this comment “it loads up up to 100% on the per-installer and closes by itself”. this upgraded custom should fix this problem.
Warning 1: Windows 95 on the other hand is having compatibility issues with certain configurations reported by other users. That we will acknowledge and (We will not fix it). Sadly we really can’t support it. As we are using 5.42.164.0. 5.20 was the last to support Windows 95 OSR 2.5.
yooo.. my fav games when i was a kid..
🙁
Hey, I’m trying to install this game on Windows 10. Extracted, monuted, but when clicking the install file, even as an admin, it loads up to 100% on the pre-installer and closes by itself. Tried even changing compability, nothing.. Any solution?
I seems to be in the same situation. Did you find any solution ?
Loved this game as a kid.
