How to play on Windows (NFS_Underground_2_v102_Win_Setup_EN.rar

  1. Download and extract Need_for_Speed_Underground_2_Win_Setup_EN.zip
  2. Inside the extracted folder, open the folder called “Game Files” and in there, you want to double click on the file called “NFSUnderground2_1.2_setup.exe”. The game setup should launch. You can leave all options at default
  3. To launch the game, go into the installation directory of the game. By default, this is “C:\Program Files (x86)\NFS Underground 2″ and then double click on the file called “SPEED2.exe”. The game should now launch.
  4. Enjoy the game!

    for anyone having the insert disk 2 problem

    go to your desktop and create a text document called foobar once done cut and paste it to the root of the nfs folder(where the exe is) and right click on the foobar text doc and press rename and remove the .txt from the end and the file should go from a paper icon with lines to a blank paper icon

    now run the game as normal

    just copy server.cfg then rename the copied file to foobar remember to erase the file extension as well then theres a prompt saying changing the file, it means youre doinng it right just click yes. It works 100. thanks me later

    i downloaded the file and installed it.. did the FOOBAR thing which worked perfectly but it minimizes itself the moment i start it and does it again immidiatly after i try to bring it up again.. i get a second of the soundtrack but thats it 🙁 pls help

    nevermind i found it but it says insert dics 2 and when i try to add txt document i have no option to create a txt document it just gives me the option to create a new folder

    i download it then i extract it and in the map folder where it extracted the is no speed2.exe the is just some dll. files an a texmod file that when i run it does nothing

    i downloaded it and i extracted it then went to map where it extracted and there is no speed2.exe files there it just txmod icon that doenst do anything when i press run.

    Go to directory where the game was installed and there create a file, without any extension (you have to be sure you see the extensions of files) and make a file named FOOBAR (WITHOUT EXTENSION).

    unable to play due to please insert disc 2 (using windows 11). Tried using the foobar thing but it doesn’t work. pls help 🙁

    Amazing. I missed this game so much.
    For anyone who has trouble launching the game. Open file explorer, up top select view > show> file extensions. Find the, NFSU2 folder, Add a TXT document and name it foobar. one done, delete the “.TXT” extension on it and it should launch.
    for people who are trying to use a Bluetooth controller. go to main menu, options and find the key mapping, up top you can switch to controller and remap what buttons do what and exit out of the menu and enjoy
