  1. Is there a way to set the game up in 1920×1080, but with the original 4:3 aspect ratio? I’d prefer not to have it stretched.

I tried to use the resolution and FOV tools, but couldn’t make it work. Ended up with a black screen. The game was running, music was playing and I could hear menu sounds. But the screen was black.
It happened when I tried to change the resolution to 640×480 in-game.

It’s wonderful you guys are making these kinds of games available for us retro fans, but I’d only consider making a new install if there’s a way to play with the original 4:3 aspect ratio.

    Thanks for your help

  4. for everyone wondering how you get the game running, you need to go to game directory (the place you installed the game) for me it was C:\Program Files (x86)\NFS Underground 2. once here create a txt file on your desktop named foobar left click on the file go into properties delete the .txt part in the name of file. save the file yes to prompts then drag the new file into your game directory. yes to the prompts

  5. Reposting this from Anonymous Aardvark since no one seems to be able to scroll through comments…

Create a file in your NFSU2 folder called “foobar” with no extension and the CD check will be skipped. No need to download anything extra.
