    hey, when i run the game it changer my resolution, but that’s it. it’s not answering (says the task manager) and also doesn’t even pop up for me! i’m just looking at my background. what can i do to change it? also ran as administrator, didn’t change any files, everything shall be just fine.

      hey there! how long are you waiting when this happens? on initial launch, a blank screen is common for several minutes. also, did you install directX like the instructions asked?

    I downloaded the game and its fine, but I have some questions :
    – I downloaded some CC and mods and I created a Downloads file , but its not working… Some people said in the comments that you must put it il the EA Games file, but I dont have one, only the Mr Dj one …
    – I have a graphic glitch in all neigbourhoods : its always the same green texture instead of desert, dirt…

      Make sure that you make the Downloads folder in Documents/(your username)/EA Games/The Sims 2. Dont make the Downloads folder on Program Files/Mr DJ, it will wont work.

      I think if u have graphic glitch u can use graphic rule maker. You can download it on Google.

      Edit: No problem! I’m happy to know that you can mod the game now!

    is there a reason we have to boot it up in admin mode? it’s working just fine when i booted it up regularly. + it takes the saves and mods from my folder rather than the computer’s admin’s folder (which is not mine and i really don’t want to access just to play my game modded)! so does anyone know if that’s like, fine? because i think it is important to note, i didn’t install it to a programs folder, but rather my documents.

    I’m trying to install sims 2 but when it get to a certain point i keep getting this error:
    “An error occurred while unpacking: Unable to write data to disk!
    Unarc.dll returned an error code: – 11
    ERROR: file write operation failed”
    Why do i keep getting this error and how do i fix it?

      Hi there!

      Try these:

      – Run the installer as administrator.

      – Turn off UAC in windows.

      – During installation, turn off Antivirus & Internet.

      – Install in another HDD or Drive.

      – Install the game in Safe Mode.

      – Defrag your HDD & try again.

    hi! it turns out that i am probably missing some files here? i only have the game files folder, and the files in it are: autorun, icon, language change, resolution fix and setup-1.bin. i’ve tried to open the setup-1 file by daemon tools ((i also tried virtual clone drive)) multiple times but i keep getting errors. any ways to fix that? thanks in advantage

    hi guys, i’ve downloaded the game from this site before restarting and updating my laptop and it worked really well! i have a problem now though. there is a setup-1.bin file instead of a setup.exe and it’s corrupted :(( any ideas on how to fix this?

    hi, does anyone have the same overexposure problem in CAS? it bothers me, but i can work around it if everyone doesn’t know how to fix it.. or if no one else has this problem, ill reinstall.

    So, the game downloaded smoothly(took 6 hours) and the game opens amazingly fast! There were a few problems in CAS but i worked around those problems, then it crashes EVERY time I try to play the actual game, i dont know if anyone else is getting this issue, but if anyone has any fixes that’d be amazing! thank you!

    Do you know what to do about the direct x issue? It says I need direct x 9.0. How do I get that? I’m guessing I already have a different version of direct x on my computer, but how do I get that specific one? I have windows 10. Also if I find out a way to get that one, will it interfere with any of my current games besides the sims? Since it has something to do with the graphics. Does anyone know how to do it exactly?

      hi there!
      the download came with the exact version you need.
      find it in The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection > Redist > dxwebsetup
      complete the installer and you should be good to go!

        It still has problems with direct x9.0. It says that the graphics is not compatible. Is it because I have windows 10 and if so, what should I do about it?

    Anyone looking for their Sims2 folder on the drive, I finally found it under C:Program Files (x86)Mr DJThe Sims 2 Ultimate Collection
    I never guessed to go into “Mr Dj”….
