I get to the installation and complete it but it always says an error occurred with unpacking and file write operation failed and to re run the installation. the icon will always show up on my screen but when I try go into into it it says there’s low disk space and then that the sims 2 isn’t installed on my system? it says this expansion pack requires the sims 2 in order to run. I’m not sure what to do

“Failed to find any DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapters in this system! Please make sure you have a DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapter and have installed the latest drivers provided by the manufacturer.” Can anyone help with this? I don’t know what to do, tried downloading something called DirectX 9.0c and it only seems to have turned my desktop into a nightmare. Any help would be appreciated, this message popped up as soon as I tried running it for the first time.

I have the exact same problem! 🙁 Right now I have DirectX 12 which is more upgraded than the DirectX 9.0c that the game requires. I’m afraid to change to a more downgraded version bc I don’t want to screw up anything 😛 If you find a solution please let me know 😀

Hi! I downloaded the game this morning, but after extracting the files to desktop, the installation doesn’t finish because of an “errore in decompression”. The two icons of game and body shop appeared on the screen for a couple of seconds and then disappeared. The game doesn’t appear in control panel, but in the folder “programms(x86)” a folder called “Mr DJ”, which is empty, was created anyway. Does anybody know how to delete that folder safely before trying everything once more?

Yes u can delete that files before trying to install the game. Actually, when the game installed successfully there will be folder named “The Sims 2” right there.

When I try to install using the Setup in the Game Files, I get an error code in russian, then it tells me it’s istalled. DirectX also tells me that I already have it installed as well, and I dont get a sims2 icon on my desktop… help would be appreciated!

EDIT: I translated the error and it said that I don’t have enough available ram and to close all applications and restart. I did all of that and am still getting this error ):

Hello, when I open my game files I don’t see ” Setup.exe file” I only see NoCD, serial key and the sims 2 disc thingy. I’m kind of stuck here lol.

hi! did you extract to your desktop? also, what app did you use to extract the files? 7zip is the easiest as it allows you to extract the files right where you want them.

I am trying to solve the changing resolution problem provided in the ‘Resolution change.txt’ document. I do not have a “‘The Sims 2 Mansion and Garden Stuff’ folder. I have an EA Games folder that takes me to a “The Sims 2” folder. There is nothing that is called ‘TSData’ that I can find anywhere. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
