I’ve done everything right, read all the comments but still: “the application has crashed. The application will now terminate”. Every time I try to play, it keeps crashing. Is there a way to fix it?

When I downloaded this, I can’t use Create a Sim before it decides to crash. All of the other things work in game besides this

Hello! I have scrolled through the comments before writing, but I haven’t found a solution for my problem so here I go. When I try to change the language, I just can’t find the EA Games folder in the Register Editor. Any form of solving these? I’ve followed all the steps in the instructions. Thank you very much!!

I’m trying to run the installer. When I click on install it says “Setup needs the next disk. Please specify the location of the disk.” And then it gives me the option to choose from my two hard drives. But when I click on one and select “ok” nothing happens. I’ve looked through the comments and on the internet and have not seen other people having this issue. Can anyone help me?

I ran into the same problem. Before attempting to open Setup, move The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection (located in the same folder as Setup) to your desktop. Then, try the installation again. Sorry if I’m not using the right words, I’m not super experienced in this sort of thing.

Fixed DX9 issue, but now the game crashes on the loading screen…..

I followed Mercy’s advice and added ‘-w’ to end of Target on shortcut and the game did get to the loading screen. Unfortunately, it got to about 60% loaded and then crashed.

    Any suggestions?

Hello! I downloaded sims2 today and everything is fine except the fact that I see like black lines flashing across the screen and I’m not sure what to do about it? Also I can’t adjust the edges because it’s like greyed out. Does anyone know what should I try? I tried to look though comments but I couldn’t find anything.

I have this problem too, however I’m just dealing with it. I’m not sure how to fix it, but hey, this is free, I haven’t had to spend any money on it, so I’m taking what I can get lol. For me, the flashing lines aren’t too bad, so I can ignore them for the most part.
If you do find a solution, let me know, but I’m just going to ignore them for now.

Hi, what should my sims2 exe file open with? I know it’s spose to open on its own, but I was asked to choose what to open it with. Adobe came up and I used that. I’ve hd to uninstall it all and when I reinstall it automatically has the exe file with adobe. What do I do there?

How did u knew u ran TS2, not the ultimate one? If it showing The Sims 2 Mansion and Garden stuff at launch, then it is the Ultimate. Also ran Sims2EP9.exe, not Sims2.exe
