    For anyone downloading any of the Sims games on PC and are struggling with resolution, please read the installation notes above – final dot point.
    I’ve spent two days trying everything I know to fix res issues and this instruction (specific note built into the Sims 2 download) fixed it straight away and I used this method on all the downloads (Life stories, pet stories, castaway etc.)

      This are all the sims 2 packs so it is way more than just sims 4. It did “only” take about 7h for me tho, but again this is the sims 2 ultimate collection it’s the same as if you would download every sims 4 game/expansion at once.

      The sims 4 downloads quicker because EA have the money to have a much better and robust server set up.

      Try Downloading it using the torrent (Magnet) link rather than directly downloading from oldgamesdownload’s server. For me, the torrent downloaded in around 40mins.

      Incase you don’t know how to torrent use the torrent link, first google utorrent and download the free version. Once installed, open up utorrent, click on file at the top right and then Add torrent from URL. Paste in the url for the torrent (Magnet) link and hit okay. The game should download for you much quicker this way.

    I Install it and it works, the explanations were simple. only, I would have to buy a laptop computer because mine bug a bit but does not prevent me from playing. Thank you 👍

    Is the download speed restricted on this site, because it takes hours to download when my internet speed is at 300 mbps?

    it just freezes on the setup window, i installed it this morning had to reinstall cause game kept freezing and now it wont even install I give up! 🙁

    When I try to download dxwebsetup.exe i get an error message saying “setup could not download the file. Please retry later or check network connection” What does this mean ? what do i need to do to fix it??? someone help pls

    I used to have this on another laptop and it ran perfectly and downloaded fine. I spent 7 hours downloading it again and I accidentally downloaded the disk version because the torrent one doesn’t work. Send help asap 🙂

    So far so good! I successfully downloaded the game and haven’t experienced any bugs yet. It lets me save and the resolution is alright. Honestly didn’t think it would work. Side note: I couldn’t find the “Redist” folder so I skipped that step. But it seems like the game is running fine?

    so having my electronic arts folder from the sims 4 will be okay to have if installing this? (sorry – may be a dumb question but don’t wanna stuff up my ts4)

    How do I change it from 800×600 resolution with no TSData folder? I don’t have anything for Sims 2 Ultimate Collection under Programs or Programs (x86). I found a folder in Documents, but my Mansion and Garden Stuff (as well as the rest of the packs) is a Package file and not a folder that can be opened. Not sure where to go from here.
