The game seems to run OK, but I can’t find my TSData folder in order to make changes to the resolution. The option to change the shadows in the graphics settings is also greyed out for me.

Im trying to install the 4GB patch following the instructions on pleasantsims.com but I do not have the folder needed for the patch to install. In my program files there is only a folder for The sims 2, but not the needed files of the EP’s. Am I looking from the wrong place or how can I locate the right TSBin? any help is greatly appreciated.

Does anyone know why there is a black rectangle appearing at my Sims’ feet? It’s in both CAS and Live Mode. Basically all the time. So weird!!

      Installation notes:

      (…)
Change ‘Shadows’ from high to either low or medium through the ingame graphics options , otherwise a black square will appear underneath your Sims instead of indoor shadows…

did you change graphic settings for shadows to medium or low? If they are currently set to high, lowering it may help, atleast it did for me.

You can turn down the shadow to medium like most said on here OR you can download the shadows fix from mod the sims. I’m sure if you type “shadow fix the sims 2” into google you’ll find it!

I got this mode to fix this and you have to put it in the Documents Folder from Sims 2 Ultimate (normaly: Documents/EA Games/The Sims Ultimate/Downloads), but I can’t find this folder from Sims in the Documents! it’s like non existing, does anyone know, how to find it?

You have to put MODS and Custom Content (CC) in the Downloads folder, which you have to create yourself. Go to Documents/EA Games/The Sims -> right click/create new folder/name the folder exactly this: Downloads (make sure the ‘D’ is capitalized and that there is an ‘s’ at the end) load up the game and in game settings make sure Custom Content and Script Mods are ENABLED. I don’t have a tutorial of where to find those settings, but you’ll find one on YouTube.

          Hope that helps!
