    Hello, I successfully downloaded The Sims 2 and got it running with Lazy Duchess’ launcher and Nopke’s shadow fix. I imported one of my old neighborhoods and noticed that upon loading one of my families, my game crashed. So I went back in and moved that family to the bin and deleted it. Now I have purple soup (pink/purple flashing) and, whenever I attempt to load ANY lot, the game crashes. I have already cleared my cache and deleted the neighborhood manager package. Does anyone know a fix for this?

    Hey ! I’ve downloaded the game and every works fine but everytime i’m going to create a sim. and want to choose a everyday outfit the game is crashing and the screen is freezing…

    Hey!
    I installed the whole Gameplay but I have one Problem: Everytime i go to the create a Sim, and want to choose a outfit, the game ist lagging and doesn’t work anymore…like the screen is freezing. I already reinstalled the game… maybe some of you can help me.

    I have a problem with saving. When I play existing families , the game saves. When I create one, it doesnt. I cant even find a save file. What can I do?

    Um, when I install the game everything works up fine to the point until I have to install dxwebsetup.exe, which when I do, the initializing works well until the fact that it doesn’t start because it says that Windows decided that there was no need to install it, because I have a newer version of it. Yet I can’t run the Sims 2 because there is no .exe on my desktop, or anywhere on the game files.

    hi! before i even actually start to download, the page where you get to choose how to download the sims, neither options work (torrent and that archive.org thing) i’m not sure what to do. when i click the archive link it starts downloading but it never actually completes it only says “15 hours remaining” i waited an hour and it didn’t go don’t and i doubt actually waiting 15 hours is gonna solve the problem.

    when i click the other link it just takes me to a blank page like completely white. nothing.
    any help would be very nice thanks!!!

      Hey I was having the exact same concern yesterday but I checked the download progress and it was just going up realllyyy slowly so I decided to leave it download overnight and when I went back to check it it was all downloaded and ready to play! Bit of a painful wait but the game runs like a charm so it was all worth it imo

    Hello,
    Just installed the game and got it working (Thank you!), and installed graphics rule maker, but when I go into create a sim the sims’s skin is very bright and the textures seem off. Also, in town view, when I move the camera the screen flickers/ glitches out for lack of a better word. Know of any fix for this? Thanks!

    Hi I just reinstalledthis game on my new PC recently but whenever I start the game I can only play the game for like 10 min before saying it will terminate the program and crash. Does anybody have any solutions? It worked just fine on my old PC with win 10 and it runs pretty smooth here too.

    Hello, the game works amazingly for me so thank you so much for your kind attribution ! I just have a question ; on the original game we can add custom music in the sound file to make our own custom radio, is it possible here ? And if yes, how so ? Because everything is marked as packages and just dragging my own songs won’t work. Thank you !

      This game works exactly like the real one, because it is the real one. I have personally never used custom music so idk how to do that persay, but I’m sure following a tutorial online will help.

      Remember custom content such as custom decor as well as script mods goes in the Downloads folder and naturally there is no downloads folder, you’ll have to go and create one yourself.

      I don’t know if this is solved. Probably is. In case it’s not, just put .mp3 files into the Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/Music folder. You need to put it into one of the folders in there though, so put it in the appropriate one.

    do someone know how to generate a shortcut icon again? I accidentaly deleted mine and i can’t find it in the bin
    I also deleted the compressed file

      I can’t remember the exact order of the folders right now as I’m here after my external lost all its files, but I know that I used to always use whichever one was in the folder named EP9 (expansion pack 9) specifically. I hope that helps!

      If you installed the game in the default directory, which I’m assuming you have, just right click on the desktop and click on New Shortcut, then click Browse in the new window that comes up. Then go to C:Program Files (x86)EA GAMESThe Sims 2TSBinSims2.exe. Since this is the Ultimate Collection, the folder is probably not called The Sims 2, but just go to the folder that is there, and use the Sims 2 exe that is there.

        When I try to start it by the expansion pack it tells me that the sims 2 isn’t installed or there are files missing and when I try to start it by the sims 2 folder it tells me to insert a disc
