    When I click to run as administrator, it says “The Sims 2 is not installed on the system, or some required files have been deleted. This expansion pack requires The Sims 2 in order to run. Please install The Sims 2 before attempting to run this application.” Suggestions?

    How do i get the other expansions to open, only Mansion and Garden Stuff will open. The others say they need a disc

      TS2 show the loading screen of the latest EP/SP installed which is mansion and garden. its the ultimate pack, because once you’re in the game you can create downtown (require NightLife), university and other. dont worry.

    I don’t have “Game Files” file in downloads. I go click to Sims2EP9 it says “Sims 2 is not installed, install it first” I don’t understand what might be the problem.

    downloaded this and my sim has a black box under her. is this just graphics issues or something else? otherwise everything is running smooth, but i think i don’t have all the worlds i am supposed to have. there’s only 6, i thought there was more but i could be wrong.

    Does not work on Win11. Tried every compatibility mode and even
    Graphics rules maker. It’s futile. What a shame.

      I now bought The Sims 3 on Steam, because it’s currently on sale, and the whole DLCs are bundled (via the The Sims 3 Collection) together for €66.50 + €9.99 for the base game. This makes a 81% discount in total compared to the normal prices.

      Although I bought The Sims 2 on its release date, I missed the opportunity to get the The Sims 2 Ultimate Collections, when EA gave it for free on Origin. And now it’s one of the few tricky games to get running on a modern OS. What a shame; but I won’t do Dual Boot and waste space solely for one game.

      I think this is the best solution for me. Why EA forced me to use Steam, is a different question. But it’s their money, if they want to give Valve a cut from their income and make prices high on Origin.

        I tried administrator without compatibility mode as well. And any other possible combinations. But no success. I guess my only hope is EA letting it republish on GOG.

    Hi! Everytime i ry to run the game it chrashes on the loading screen. I have tried the 4g patch and the resulution editing but nothing seem to help.

    When I try to install it I get an error saying: “An error occured while unpacking: unable to write data on disk! Unarc.dll returned an error code: -11. ERROR: Can’t open file C:Program Files (x86)Mr DJThe Sims 2 Ultimate CollectionThe Sims 2 Mansion and Garden StuffTSBin|Sims2EP9.exe”

    So I got the ‘an error occurred while decompressing archive header is corrupted unarc.dll 14’ error that seems common.

    FEW THINGS.
    First, check that you have a .rar file. This would be the file you extracted, not the folder that is created.
    In my case I didn’t realize I had a .part file and spent lots of time troubleshooting. If it is a .part file this means it is only partially downloading, in which case resume the download (or re download).

    Now through my errors, I still may be of use to you guys.

    If it is a .rar file, make sure you’ve extracted the file. Then run setup.

    If you have and it still isn’t working, update your drivers and use Window’s troubleshooter to run it in Window 7 compatibility mode.

    If you’re stilling having problems you’ll have to do your own troubleshooting or ask someone else 🙁
