Hi, in the installer, go to the Configure tab and choose where you want the game to be installed. I changed it and it worked for me 🙂

My download works perfectly. It took a LONG time to download the file (I mean about 8 hours at least) so I left it on over night. Everything works as it should. Follow the instructions and you should not have any issues! My only problem is the shadows when the sims are inside.. I still get the ‘black box’ mentioned, but it’s something I can cope with! Thank you for sharing this.

I just realized that I’m actually missing a big chunk of the files after I downloaded. Most files are completely empty and then I’m missing the entire file entitled MR DJ…The whole download process I think went well so I don’t know what happened. Is it just me this has happened to?? The game will open but I can’t even make are play a town :'(

Hey, so I just recently downloaded the game. I followed all the instruction and the game opened no problem, but I have no towns and when I click to make one it says there are no terrains….I went to check all the files but all the folders are empty, I don’t know what to do now. :'(

Hi im having a problem im not sure why but when i open the game i only have access to the mansion and garden stuff pack and do not even have access to the base game worlds. I didn’t install microsoft direct x before first opening the game but im not sure if that has anything to do with it, i have now since installed it but still have the same problem

When the worlds menu pops up after first loading, there should be an arrow to the right, that will show you more worlds. The 3 base game worlds are on the next “page”. Mansion & Garden is the last DLC, so any time the game loads, it will show that it’s loading that, it just means that’s the latest pack installed/that’s where it’s opening the game from, not that there’s no other packs installed. You literally can’t play the game without base game stuff, all the important files are in the base games folder; it just updates it to use the exe from the latest DLC you have installed.

Hello guys, i’ve downloaded this game and it works just fine but i have a question: how do i change the language?

      1: Open Registry Editor

On Windows 2000/XP, navigate to Start, Run, then type “regedit”.
For Windows Vista, go to Start, and in the “Search” field enter “regedit”. Select it from the list that comes up or just press Enter. You may have to accept a security warning.
2: Find your game in Registry Editor

For the base game only (no expansions/stuff packs/etc.)
In the left pane, navigate through the folders, following this path:
      ComputerHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREEA GAMESThe Sims 21.0
For expansion packs/stuff packs (maybe.. not tested stuff packs :D)
In the left pane, navigate through the folders, following this path:
      ComputerHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREEA GAMES*name of last-installed expansion or stuff pack*1.0
      3: Change the language

In the right pane of the window, find the entries labeled “Language” and “LanguageName”.
Double-click “Language” and, using the list below, change the previous number to the number or letter corresponding to the language you wish to switch to. Be sure it’s set to “Hexadecimal”. Click OK.
This isn’t necessary, but it’s a good idea: Double-click “LanguageName”. Using the list below and the number or letter you just entered, enter the name of the language you wish to switch to. Click OK.
If you have expansion packs, especially more than one, it could be helpful to change each key for each expansion (and the base game) just to be sure they’re kept in sync.
      Language List
      0 English
      1 English
      2 French

      7 Finnish
      8 Dutch
      9 Danish
      10 Russian
      11 Simplified Chinese
      12 Traditional Chinese
      13 … (appears corrupted)
      14 Polish
      15 Thai
      16 Norsk (Norwegian)
      17 Portuguese
      18 Hungarian

      a Portuguese
      b Czech
      c Hebrew
      d Greek
      e Japanese
      f Korean

      4: Restart the game

The change should take effect after restarting the game.
