    so i`m from germany and have also trouble to play the game… when i want to create a sim the game crashes but i need to restart my pc to leave the game. now i could play for 4 min. and it crashed again. my pc isnt going slow and stuff but it chrashed everytime and i think its so sad i really want to play sims 2 🙁

    This collection is borked, man. The farthest I got was my screen shrinking, then after 2 minutes it went to a black screen with the blue arrow. I run a 6650rt with 32gb ram so I don’t think its on my end.

    i’m having trouble changing the resolution, because i can’t find the “TSData” folder anywhere. do i have to re-download the file all over again? someone, help!

    Hi, most thing works fine but I still can’t create any Sim or pet, they are blank in creating mode. I have read most of the comments and I downloaded new Ikea pack and switch it. I downloaded 4 gb pack. I changed some stuff in graphic rules (low 3, medium 3 etc). Shadows is off, but it is still there so I am gonna use codes. But creating mode is huge issue for me 🙁
    Do you know what is the issue?

      Ok, I fixed it and want to share.
      – You need to go C:\Program Files (x86)\Mr DJ\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\The Sims 2\TSData\Res\Lights

      – then open CAS_lighting.txt (if you can’t save this file, move it to deskop, change there and move back)

      – then find in code a lonely line, its not in any group
      lightAttribOverride CASFamilyArea_bouncelight8 intensity 0.125

      – and here you need to put space betwen bouncelight and 8.

      it suposed to look like this:
      lightAttribOverride CASFamilyArea_bouncelight 8 intensity 0.125

    I’m unable to extract the file after it’s been downloaded. Extraction isn’t shown as an option and when I try to open it, nothing happens. It’s like I spent three hours downloading a shell

    I try to open the game as admin after doing everything above but i get error message Failed o find any directx 9.0c compatible graphics adapter in the sysem make sure uu have direct x9.0c insalled application now willl termniate, and i already have directx 12 or something how to fix this problem?

    My game after while of playing crashes and turns off (VERY ANNOYING because no saving) and despide changing shadows there is still black square inside buildings. Anyway to fix AT LEAST crashes?
    For note I used follow instruction about resolutions.
