  2. Hello!
My name is Kevin and I’m trying to make a partially in game film documentary on fps games. R6:RS was running on my windows 11 laptop two days ago. I formatted and now I can’t get setup.exe to run, but autorun.exe does start.

Can anyone help… I’m so tired lol

  3. Doesn’t seem to install once “install Rogue Spear” is clicked on. checked AV settings, disabled anything that could be blocking, Autorun.exe brings up that menu but doesn’t install

  4. 1. Mount the .iso.
    2. Run Autorun.exe.
    3. Install the game.
    4. Go to: https://github.com/narzoul/DDrawCompat/releases.
    5. Download the latest version of DDrawCompat.
    6. Unzip it and put the ddraw.dll file in to your Rogue Spear installation folder (the same spot on your local drive that has RogueSpear.exe). It should not replace an existing file.
    7. Make sure you still have the .iso file mounted and double-click RogueSpear.exe from your installation folder (not mount) and enjoy.

    • After running autorun.exe and installing the game, right click rogue spear.exe in the install location and click properties. In the properties window go to compatibility and check the “run in compatibility mode’ box and select windows 98/me in the drop down menu. Then check ‘run as administrator’ below. Also open RSConfig.exe in the installation folder and select your graphics and audio devices just in case. If the game lags, open task manager, look for rogue spear.exe, right click and select details. then right lick rogue spear again on the next page and click ‘set affinity’ and check all the boxes. If the game still does not start, open the registry and locate the folder named red storm entertainment>rogue spear. After clicking, go through the values until you find ‘fullscreen’ and set it to ‘FALSE’. You should be good to go.
Also, make sure you double click the roguespear.iso in the ‘game files’ folder and mount it whenever you want to play.

phew, running this game on windows 10 is a hot MESS let me tell ya.

    • Open rogue spear.iso in the game files folder and make sure windows mounts it like a cd on the this pc page. That works, surprisingly. Make sure you have the iso mounted whenever you play because the game does not install all game data to your drive, mission are only on the ‘disk’.
