Zork: The Great Underground Empire – Part I, later known as Zork I, is an interactive fiction video game written by Marc Blank, Dave Lebling, Bruce Daniels and Tim Anderson and published by Infocom in 1980. It was the first game in the popular Zork trilogy and was released for a wide range of computer systems, followed by Zork II and Zork III. It was Infocom’s first game, and sold 378,987 copies by 1986.

- Download and Extract Zork_The_Great_Underground_Empire_DOS_Files_EN.zip
- Download DOSBox and put a shortcut on your desktop
- Open the “Game Files” folder and drag the file “_Zork1.com” on top of the DOSBox icon
- Play the game

It actually works, just tried it myself… you have to follow the guide (and most importantly download the DOSBox emulator).
So as the guide states:
1) Download and Extract Zork_The_Great_Underground_Empire_DOS_Files_EN.zip
2) Download DOSBox and put a shortcut on your desktop
3) Open the “Game Files” folder and drag the file “_Zork1.com” on top of the DOSBox icon
I did exactly this and DOSBox says “game file not found”.
