About Interactive Math Journey

Interactive Math Journey is a children's educational game published by The Learning Company in 1996 for Windows. The game is aimed at ages five to nine to teach all sorts of mathematical skills including patterns, addition, subtraction, fractions, and multiplication. It is a spin-off of the Reader Rabbit series, featuring Tally the Counting Cat, her friend Mat the Mouse, and Pop. The objective of the game is to tour through ten levels and find the Math Magician. There are three types of activities: Story, Exploration, and Challenge modes.

Tally Cat is playing around at a park with her beanbag, counting every time she catches it. Mat stops by on her skateboard and wonders what Tally is doing, asking why she hasn't felt like chasing her. Tally tells her about the fun in counting, which leaves Mat asking why it's fun. Soon, Pop arrives and introduces himself to Tally and Mat, telling them about a wonderful journey of numbers and mathematics to guide them to meeting the Math Magician. The trio follow a map of ten different Math Lands to complete the journey to Math Mountain, with the help of the player, collecting souvenirs along the way. Pop leads the way.

Each time the trio arrive at a new Math Land, Tally and Pop will comment about the setting in that area. Tally visits most activities and meets many different characters.

At the ending scene, the team arrives at Math Mountain. Tally summarizes the whole journey of mathematics adventures, and gradually transforms into the Math Magician. She declares that her mastery of mathematics grants her the ability to do anything she wants to. She playfully chooses to chase Mat down Math Mountain.

The player journeys through each Math Land to complete activities. After completing all activities of a Math Land, the player will receive a souvenir, a token of the level, and can access the next Math Land.

@Jacob, I’m getting the same issue here. The disc file is corrupted. No idea how to fix it. Wanted to get this software for a nostalgia sake. Cannot get it from anywhere else too.

I’m stuck at “unable to create player data file”. I’m running on compatibility on all different kinds of settings, color options, I’ve added exclusion to windows defender. Help? 🙁 I really I want to get this game working for my kids, I remember playing this when I was youngun.
