About Schoolhouse Rock!: Math Rock

With Schoolhouse Rock: Math Rock, students build basic math skills using addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and critical thinking. Skills are also developed using patterns and sequences, measurement, computation, and other problem-solving challenges. The software reinforces and strengthens fundamental mathematics learning skills and concepts through fun, engaging activities and supports NCTM Curriculum and Evaluation Standards for school mathematics. Features include eight activities with five difficulty levels in addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, geometry, patterns, equations, estimation and measurement, problem solving, and word problems; 11 award-winning Schoolhouse Rock math videos, including "My Hero Zero" and "Three's a Magic Number"; and nine "learning units" that build upon game activities and videos (learning units extend comprehension and include a list of content objectives that are reinforced throughout each unit). The program's difficulty levels and multi-sensory design are intended to fit a student's needs, increasing his or her motivation to learn. Also included are a comprehensive user's guide, 33 reproducible student activity sheets (blackline masters), a detailed curriculum matrix, and skills evaluation tracking system for each activity.
