SimEarth is a simulation game released in 1990 by Maxis. Designed by Will Wright and based roughly on James Lovelock's Gaia theory of planetary evolution, it models Earth and allows the player to adjust properties of the world and observe how the simulation progresses.
Players can adjust settings including the atmosphere, landmasses, temperature, and forms of life.
