   After a couple hours of trying to play this .dcr file, I want to share the solution I found!

   I was only able to open this file in Internet Explorer (which is still an app with Windows 10!) after installing this Shockwave Player for the IE browser: https://filehippo.com/download_shockwave/

   After the shockwave player is downloaded, left click on the .dcr file and select Open With > Internet Explorer.

   I am so happy I found this game it was a ridiculously large part of my childhood

     The redit link doesn’t seem to work anymore. And I’m unfortunately stuck with windows 11. Anyone have any other fixes for this?

       You need to download a flash game player, but I can’t find one that exists anymore. I’m looking for Shockwave or Adobe Director for mac but I can’t find a download link.

       I don’t know if you’re a Windows user, but you can just go on ahead and download the Newgrounds Player from right over here. Its not strictly limited to Newgrounds-only content, it supports other Adobe Flash content from other sites as well. Also, as somebody who used it just recently, it does work perfectly. 😀

       You can use Newgrounds Player. It isn’t limited to Newgrounds-only content. It does support .SWF files downloaded from other sites. Also, as somebody who used it just recently (a couple of hours before writing this comment), I can tell you it does work perfectly.

       .P.S. It is Windows only, there’s no Mac version available. Are you a Windows user by any chance?
