   tried to download the dxwebsetup but I keep getting a notification that “The DirectX setup program has determined that a newer or equivalent version of DirectX is already installed. Installation is not necessary.” What should I do now? Can anyone help?

     It should still work. That’s what mine said when I tried to download it and my game runs perfectly.

   I was able to download the file. The issues I encountered were:
   – while doing step 5, the setup application goes unresponsive, then sends out an error message saying it wasn’t successful and to check the internet connection. However, I will then get a message saying that the latest version of directx is already installed.
   – when i tried to run the game as administrator, my screen get zoomed in and bigger, but I just see my desktop. I see the icon of the app on the toolbar but the game does not load fully. I don’t hear any sounds whatsoever.

   Any fix for this?

   Wellp downloaded it and it went fine but now having a few issues:

   1. Launching the game, it crashed right away
   2. Tried to change the resolution thinking that may be why its crashing but I do not have permission to change the information on the notepad.

   I am running windows 11 on an ultrawide monitor, any instructions on how I can get this working?

   Hi, I downloaded and installed as per instructions, however, whenever I launch, I get a blank error message with “The Sims 2 Mansion and Garden Stuff” As the header.

   Found a fix for the DirectX9 error, it’s not actually about the driver, it’s that you need to either run the game in windowed mode instead of fullscreen, and/or you need your refresh rate to be under 100Hz

    The game is crashing upon launch every time.. I’ll see the logo for a moment but it doesn’t go passed that screen. Did I miss a step?

    I cant see expantions only mansion and garden, for you guys it is working? for example nightlige/pets etc. working well?

    Thank you so much for this game! Works perfectly fine, the only small thing is the shadows cannot be changed but it’s such a minor thing I really don’t mind.

    I try to get it but there is not setup.exe file. Only setup-1.bin and setup-2.bin…

      there is one, but if your file extensions are not visible, then it will be simply named “Setup”. it should also have an icon of a plumbob (the green crystal hovering above a Sim’s head).

      it’s a pretty big file, so it might have gotten corrupted while downloading. make sure your Internet connection is stable, try to download it once again and make sure to wait until it’s done before trying to extract it. I used the second link (MediaFire) and it worked fine for me. you can also try installing WinZip or WinRAR software to help with the extraction.
