    Yesterday I spent 8 hours on solving the resolution. Originally, the resolution is 800×600 and it looks weird in the game. Just in case if anyone of you wants to know how to change the resolution, here it is https://simscommunity.info/2016/04/27/the-sims-2-setting-up-the-resolution-windowed-mode-smooth-edges-sim-shadows/#:~:text=Search%20for%20option%20ScreenModeResolution%20and,resolution%20used%20for%20this%20article).

    PS ; before you edit the GraphicRules.sgr, make sure to take out that note from the files and place it on the desktop. If you don’t do it, you cannot save it as it will appear saying it needs the owner’s permission. Make sure to have a backup for your note too. hope this helps!

    when installing i get “failed to get a non empty installation ‘AppId'” error. is there anyway to fix this ? nothing online is giving me any answers

    I still have the problem with the shadows underneath the sims feet (black squares), I’ll try to play did a few adjustement.

    I cannot get this to work every time i boot it up it says mansion and garden stuff has crashed and the game will now terminate. Does anyone know a fix for this?

    The game runs perfectly fine for me. The only issue i have is that the game is not maximized, instead it’s just a little box in the middle of my screen. Does anyone know how to fix this?

        I tried to change the resolution by editing the GraphicRules.sgr (C:\Program Files (x86)\Mr Dj\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Mansion and Garden Stuff\TSData\Res\Config)

        However, when I wanted to save it, it needs the owner’s permission. So, I can’t change the resolution and idk how to fix that
