Running on Windows 10 btw
Essentially there was an installation folder located within the hidden folder C:Program Files (x86)InstallShield Installation Information that needed to be deleted. The folder I had was just a bunch of random characters/numbers so I used the modified date to help me figure out it was the correct one.
This should clear up any confusion, I had the problem with the games menu opening but would refuse to play the actual game. It seems like most people were skipping the same step as I was. Step 5 is explained very well in this video as the instructions above were quite confusing. Now my game is up and running!!
Don’t lose your time.
