   Hi everyone, thank you for all the support. For The Sims 25th Anniversary, The Sims 1 and The Sims 2 have been relaunched by EA as “Legacy Collections”. They are available for purchase on the EA website, Steam, and other platforms.

   As per our abandonware policy, we have disabled download links to these games. We hope you will find enjoyment playing them through the official channels.

     i paid ea and installed but the game doesnt even work. asked for refund. come to find one that will work (as EA dont even have a solution except asking people to send a screenshot of error… which doesnt fix anything). you literally suck for taking the download away

   The installer automatically chooses a drive that not exists in my pc (it’s a virtual usb drive) and i can’t find where to change to install in the correct hdd. I searched the .inf files and found nothing. Is there anyway to change the install drive in the installation .exe? Thanks

   I am having an issue starting up the file with start.exe. It doesn’t open and doesn’t allow me to input the registration, making it so there’s not a directory to launch from. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

     J’ai eu le même problème. J’ai chercher sur internet et voilà ce que j’ai trouvé : ne lancez pas le fichier “start.exe” si vous l’avez fait, aller dans le gestionnaire des tâches et supprimer toutes les intances “start.exe” qui se situe en arrière plan. Lancer maintenant le fichier “setup.exe” dans le dossier “setup”. J’ai personnellement suivit les recommandation de quelqu’un ci-dessous et installer mon jeu non pas dans “c/progamme86” mais dans un sous dossier de “c/”. Par la suite suivez les instruction mais il faut copier coller le fichier “sims.exe” et non pas le drop. Ensuite, si comme moi vous avez un jeu qui crash ou qui ne se lance pas bien, vous aurez besoin d’un patch graphique, moi j’ai utiliser le “Widescreen Patch”

   I’ve tried to do step 5 but whenever I drag & drop the Sims.exe to the directory where I installed the game in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Maxis\The Sims). There’s no popup appearing telling me that the file already exists, so I can’t select “REPLACE”. Instead as I drag and try to drop it states “Create Link in “The Sims” and “Windows can’t create a shortcut here. Do you want the shortcut to be placed on the desktop instead?”

     All you have to do is right click the sims crack.exe and select copy. Hit ctrl + v or paste in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Maxis\The Sims.

     When you select it, it should work.

   This works well on Windows 11. I’m pleased to be able to play this game; it’s brought back so many memories of my childhood. The only errors I encountered were fixed by turning on compatibility. Thanks so much for posting this here!

    Just to add to the instructions (and what should be mandatory), NEVER install any games into program files x86! Make a folder, for example, “C:\The Sims”. Have fun! 🙂

    When I extract the files from the .zip, I cannot find the sims.exe file. I have looked through almost every folder, but I cannot find it. Does anyone know the path to get to the sims.exe file?

      I used the start.exe instead which worked (it has the sims icon an appears as an application type)

    every time i even try to install it just says unknow error encountered install aborted ive tried everything in compatibilities with no resolve ive deleted everything and tried redoing it from the very beginning and its the same thing every time
