Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis is a tactical shooter and battlefield simulator video game developed by Bohemia Interactive Studio and published by Codemasters in 2001. The game is considered to be a spiritual successor to Gravon: Real Virtuality (1995). The game uses the same engine, Real Virtuality, as the military simulator VBS1. It was released on June 22, 2001 in Europe and August 30, 2001 in North America.

How to play on Windows
- The game is already pre-installed so you just have to download it and then you can start playing straight away.
- Download the “Operation_Flashpoint_Cold_War_Crisis_Win_Preinstalled_EN.zip” file from the link above.
- Open the downloaded .zip file and extract the “Operation_Flashpoint_Cold_War_Crisis_Win_Preinstalled_EN” folder to your desktop. You will need to use a software such as WinRAR to do this.
- Open the extracted “Operation_Flashpoint_Cold_War_Crisis_Win_Preinstalled_EN” folder and then open the “Game Files” folder.
- Open the “Operation Flashpoint” and double-click on the file called “FLASHPOINTRESISTANCE.EXE”.
- Choose you preferred settings (e.g. your resolution) and then select “Start” – the game should now launch.
- Enjoy!

had to re-install the game due to it breaking, but now i cant since all the downloads are broken.

So i’m still getting the Bad Serial Number
All i have done so far was download the preinstalled zip
Extracted it and then went to the “Key” file inside the miscfiles
It already had the right thing in there but still refused to work, Am i suppose to put the Key file somewhere else or something i’m confused

For those who suffer from this problem, the first thing you should do is go to Operation_Flashpoint_Cold_War_Crisis_Win_Preinstalled_ENGame FilesOperation Flashpointmiscfiles
Right click and edit the file called “Key”. Place the following:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Codemasters\Operation Flashpoint]
“MAIN”=”C:\\Program files\\Codemasters\\Operation Flashpoint”
“KEY”=hex:4e,7b,fe,cb,61,c1,e7,a3,b8,d5,7d,92,80,b7,52

I love this game … Everything about it no bigs when playing on my laptop
But please I’d there a way to play on mobile phone as my laptop is having issues

FIX for “bad serial number”:
For windows 10: Go to Operation_Flashpoint_Cold_War_Crisis_Win_Preinstalled_ENGame FilesOperation Flashpointmiscfiles
There you should have a file named “Key”, right click, Edit. You have to change the file to this:

I added Wow6432Node, save the file and then double click it.
If you have windows xp just doble click de Key file.
Then run the game from the .exe file as normal.

Hi did you download the preinstalled version or the game setup? I would recommend downloading the setup and installing the game from scratch, that might help
