  1. such a shame to SAY ONLY that Resident Evil 2 is no longer abandonware. We have a game from the past..millennium, 26 yrs ago, that we payed again and again, to an era that its (very) low graphics seems as a joke to pay for it. never mind, we’ll download it from torrents or elsewhere.

  2. What a killer even for the original readme file. And misinformation at the top of pages with steam links. Will wait to see if corrected before I continue with the site

  3. This OG PC port of Resident Evil 2 is still definitely abandonware, there is no way to buy this version of the game legally aside from an ever dwindling pool of second hand copies. Admin needs to restore the download and get rid of the Steam link that’s to a totally different game…

  4. So I had the same issue of not being able to load my save game data. Easy fix for me at least after some digging. Go to properties on either ClarieP or LeonP or even Residentevil.exe and click compatibility and select compatibility mode Windows Xp service pack 2 and click apply and ok. Worked just fine and read all my save data. Also, the links to the missing codec file to play the cutscenes works. Check out their links and it’s as simple as a download.
