how do we actually play the game? it doesnt have the app it just has an icon, wheres the game?
Please help. When trying to run the exe file a window pops up saying the administrator has blocked me from opening the file.
run it as administrator, if not right click it and then click properties and run it in compatibility mode
If anyone is looking to download this version dont, its a waste of time, theres no instructions on how to install. very overwhelming and not simple. If you want the easiest download, just download the sims 2 ultimate collection from this website! that download doesnt need a key! dowload instructions on that page. hope this helps anyone 🙂

I tried to download this but I tried to delete all the files, and all the files were deleted but the “Game Files” folder is stuck saying it is open in another program. How do I delete it?
I seem to not be getting the “Create A Sim” feature – at all. I just get an overall apartment scenario where I can see features, but not participate or create.
Damn. That’s the third download & still it doesn’t work for me. I did this before with sims 3 and it worked, I don’t know what’s wrong. I was able to install the game and now when I want to start it, it always says that I should remove the CD/DVD from the device and put the original CD/DVD in, instead. 🙁
I had this same exact issue!! I was personally able to fix it and make it playable by downloading a no-CD crack, I’d recommend trying that if you can. Apparently this is a known problem even with genuine physical copies of Sims 2.
To anyone having issues with UAC blocking the autorun, I was able to execute it using Windows terminal as admin, {in windows 11} Mount the ISO for the game, go to This PC, take note of the drive letter, now press WindowsKey+X, select Terminal(Admin) enter “cd (Drive letter)” and then “.autorun.exe” This will open the installer. Use code 39JJ JVDE DA2U 9PDP 98N4 as listed below. Happy simming!
