    nooo, I hate this money maker monsters, look at the shitty version they’ve released, it’s almost like they didn’t had the original file and just cracked some random one lol. anyways, I think we are gonna have to accept it and move on from now on. They don’t care.

      yeah… im glad i already made the download and saved the files, because the legacy edition just dont work properly. My sims begun to just disapeared after I play on College neighborhood. It mades me feel REALLY upset and annoyed. I hope they put it back the ultimate collection on this site, EA dont deserve our money.

    WHYYYYY would you replace a perfectly working file with EA’s bullshit steam version… It is broken. It does not work. Please bring back the old file… your website was the only place we could fine a version that W O R K E D !!!!

    Hi, I’m really mad. The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection stopped working yesterday and I’m really sad, to be honest. I thought the game had stopped working for no reason. But from what I see, they won’t let me download it anymore… I want to keep playing this great game. Please let me download it again!

    I received Sims 2 Ultimate free when it was offered, but after switching PCs 3 times, I can’t find the original installer (although I have the installation files saved). I have whatever the heck EA gave me when it removed Ultimate from my list and gave me something different. (Double Deluxe or whatever which is not the same.) AND I shelled out the money to buy the Legacy version, which is a broken POS.

    Somewhere along the way (probably when I realized I didn’t have my installer) I DL-ed from here. I just found the files saved. Opened up the “instructions” txt file and it sent me here. And now I find out you removed the instructions for installation!

    Argh. I will never be able to play this game again. Why didn’t you include the instructions in your txt file? So frustrated!

    Wow. So glad I had downloaded it prior, but i hope I didn’t delete off my computer or anything. I wasn’t able to get it to work so I had given up on it.

    It’s sad that it’s no longer available here cuz of the awful version EA released recently. I guess I’ll look on Internet archive or something. Still disappointing.

        Sorry, there’s a chance it’s not there anymore because I couldn’t install it. Deleted for space and all that. I can’t actually access my computer now either to verify if it’s there.

        I’ve learned my lesson when it comes to abandonware. But check the internet archive. And I imagine ppl who have saved it will be able to distribute it if these guys won’t.

      They shouldn’t have removed the download link either way. The “Legacy Collection” is an utter mess with a crap ton of technical issues that have never been seen on the original version. Makes zero sense to remove the download link in favor of a cash-grab. I already made a request on the “Request A Game” page to bring back the links. Utterly unjustifiable. Heck, they should even change the rule for games having to not be sold officially anymore *unless* there is a re-release with bad reception (e.g the 2020 remake of XIII. It was such a horrid remake that another studio had to remake it!).

      Seriously, we should be allowed to have the option to not support cash grabs.

      (Also wow, as of the time writing this, they deleted my request which was waiting for approval. Trying so hard to have a moral ground yet at the same time having no moral ground forcing people to buy a literal cash grab. I love OGD, but respectfully they should reconsider their ‘moral grounds’ when it comes to corpos squeezing cash out of people’s nostalgia)

        I didn’t remove your comments, but some comments are caught by filters and need to be manually approved before they show.

        I agree with your sentiment, but as long as EA has decided to sell these games again, we cannot continue hosting them here.

        EA does have a responsibility to provide playable versions of the games with the fixes required for them to run on modern systems. The community should hold them accountable for that. And I hope they will price the Legacy Collections more fairly.
