The Sims 2 is a 2004 strategic life simulation video game developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts. It is the sequel to The Sims. The game has the same concept as its predecessor: players control their Sims in various activities and form relationships in a manner similar to real life.

Hi when I go to the cas it crashes me game so then I reseted my laptop and I’m now gonna do it again and also was my was game crashing cuz i had windows 10 pro or do I need different windows help

I think what they’re asking is that every time they open up Create-A-Sim, the game crashes so they tried resetting their laptop. They’re wondering if it’s because they have windows 10 pro and if they need to run on it on a different operating system.

I can’t save the “graphicRules” with changes, since i’m not an administrator.
I’m stuck with 800X600.. please help..??
if the graphicRules is a notepad file, then aren’t you able to right click the file and then select “Run as an administrator” and then that should work

I’ve just “re”-downloaded TS2 Ultimate Collection, but the last time, I remember it was possible to change the language, but I forgot how I do that?
Hi, you need to change some of your registry files. There’s a lot of steps so I would recommend to search that question on Google and you will find many tutorials
Is there a way to remove/uninstall some of the expansion packs?
I’m pretty sure you can uninstall them from the start menu (there should be a folder on there for The Sims 2 games)

ive followed your instructions and downloaded the game. the game loads however once I try to create a family the game crashes….any help please?!
Can you try running the game in compatibility mode for Windows XP and then Windows 7 if that doesn’t work
Thanks so much! But, I’m having trouble with the DirectX included in the file, it says that a newer version of DirectX is installed and no installation is needed, but when I go to open up The Sims 2 (while opening as administrator) it says something about there is no DirectX 9.0 components installed on the driver and to please download the needed drivers from the manufacturer.
Yeah I’m having the same issue, I tried downloading the newest version from the Microsoft site but it still doesn’t work. I also tried downloading from the link you provided but still not avail. Please help.
I did some reading and sorry guys it’s a very complicated problem that has to do with your graphics drivers, there’s no easy fix for this. If possible at all you should download the game on a different laptop

For me the game is working but there are some issues with forniture in the expansion packs, like some items are missing in the university EP
Hey, it’s me again. I FINALLY managed to download the whole file, but I have a problem. Usually whenever I download a new game, I always uncheck the “create a desktop icon” box so that I can manually create my own shortcut in my games folder. But when I went to search for the .exe file, I realized that there’s a 1,000 different .exe files. Which one do I click on to start the game: (I would paste screenshots here, but a message keeps coming up saying that I have to be logged in to post a picture. But If you go to the “The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection” folder and type in “.exe” to the search bar, it should come up with exactly 121 .exe files. )
The .exe you want should have the Sims 2 logo on it, the same one as you see on my desktop in the video. It might be called “The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection.exe”
Updated reply: Is each “expansion pack” its own separate game or something, or can they all be accessed from the main game? (I’m a noob to the series). And since I can’t find “The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection.exe”, would this one work: “Mr DJ > The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection > The Sims 2 > TSBin > Sims2.exe” ? Or am I looking in the wrong spot?
You just launch the main game and it has all of the expansion packs included. Launch Sims2.exe that seems like the right file
Ok I just clicked on it. A few seconds after the splash screen appeared, a message came up telling me to “insert the correct CD-Rom”. What should I do?
make sure antivirus is not deleting anything, I would also uninstall and reinstall and try the desktop shortcut
Ok, I just finished redownloading/reextracting the file. Now I’m just reinstalling it, and once it’s finished I’ll click on the desktop icon. I’ll let you know how it goes. HOPEFULLY it works now. I’ve heard a lot of good things about this game.

Is there any way for you to break up the download in to 2 parts to make it easier for people who don’t have MEGA Pro to download it? (And then we could just combine the 2 downloaded files together.) Or maybe offer a DIRECT download link? (i.e. , Upload the file to THIS site instead of taking us to an EXTERNAL site like MEGA.).
We’re going to be adding new mirrors for the Sims 2 shortly, including a torrent mirror. For now, if you wait 5 hours the MEGA download should continue without you doing anything
Excuse me , but there is no Mansion and Garden Stuff folder in the bins.
I’m not sure, can someone who is playing this confirm if Mansion and Garden Stuff is included?
Hey “Visions in the Moment”, the “Mansion and Garden Stuff” folder should be in “Mr DJ > The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection”. In that folder, there should be 18 folders in total. 1 for the main game, 16 for the expansion packs, and 1 for the uninstall wizard.

Thanks for uploading this game, but the problem is that I can’t download it on Mega. When are you guys gonna put it on another downloader?
It’s really difficult to find a place to host it because of its size, for example Mediafire would not allow it. Using Mega you can download the full file but you might have to wait around 5 hours at one point

I tried to download, but when the download hit 87% it stopped and told me i had to wait 2 hours for it to continue for free. I waited those 2 hours, and now it’s just showing a red dot where the countdown was. What do i do? My internet is slow so downloading takes forever.. I reallt don’t wanna start over…
We’re currently uploading the game to a different host than MEGA because of things like this. Knowing mega though if you close your tab which your downloading and then reopen it, it should continue at the 87% mark but don’t close your browser, just the tab

Hi ! First of all i wanna say thankyou, because it worked for me! It did take some time because i had to download some features to get it to actually work on my laptop without crashing. But it works now 🙂 I do have one question, when i play the game, i only have the basic furnitures and not the things from the expansion packs which is really dissapointing, do you know how i can solve this? 🙂
That is strange as it should include all the expansion pack features.. I’m really not sure why they’re not showing up for you to be honest I’m sorry :/
At around 20% while downloading I get an error saying unable to write data to disk. The error code is -11. How can I fix this? Please help.
usually that error is related to having a full disc drive (no space left on the drive you’re installing on), can you see if you have enough space on it
