The Sims 2 is a 2004 strategic life simulation video game developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts. It is the sequel to The Sims. The game has the same concept as its predecessor: players control their Sims in various activities and form relationships in a manner similar to real life.

Anyone know if you’re able to use custom content? I have it succesfully installed but I’m struggling to get mods to work.
It says “Cannot locate the DVD/ROM” And I followed all of the instructions. What do I do?
Edit: I put The WinRAR file and the Sims2.exe in a custom folder named “New Folder (1)” Atm. Is that a problem? I am 11 so please don’t hate on my extreme inability to understand basic concepts based on computers and technology 🙂

Error: “Cannot locate the DVD-ROM” I installed the crack it doesn’t work
I had the same error. I’m on Windows 10 and I solved it by going to the mounted file, entering the ‘Crack’ folder, and right clicked on Sims2 (the application file) and selected ‘Run as Administrator’.
The steps are: This PC (folder) > DVD Drive (E:) Sims2 > Crack (folder) > “Sims2” (application, right click + select ‘Run as Administrator’)
One thing to note is that I didn’t manage to find the TSBin file nor replaced all the files as mentioned in Step 5. What I did was I pasted the “Sims2.exe” into:
Documents (folder) > EA Games (folder) > The Sims 2 (folder)
When I tried to launch the game here, it did not succeed. So, remember to launch from the mounted file!
Hello, when I try step #5 it says “There is not enough room on Sims2. You need an additional 15.0 MB to copy these files.” Does anyone know how to solve this issue please ?
Your computer is full most likely, try clearing out some stuff to make room.
