The Sims 2 is a 2004 strategic life simulation video game developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts. It is the sequel to The Sims. The game has the same concept as its predecessor: players control their Sims in various activities and form relationships in a manner similar to real life.

How do you put custom content into the game?
it keeps saying insert ROMCD even though i followed all the steps
I had the same error. I’m on Windows 10 and I solved it by going to the mounted file, entering the ‘Crack’ folder, and right clicked on Sims2 (the application file) and selected ‘Run as Administrator’.
The steps are: This PC (folder) > DVD Drive (E:) Sims2 > Crack (folder) > “Sims2” (application, right click + select ‘Run as Administrator’)
One thing to note is that I didn’t manage to find the TSBin file nor replaced all the files as mentioned in Step 5. What I did was I pasted the “Sims2.exe” into:
Documents (folder) > EA Games (folder) > The Sims 2 (folder)
When I tried to launch the game here, it did not succeed. So, remember to launch from the mounted file 🙂
Already fixed it. Running as an administrator didn’t work for me, so I installed Daemon Tools, selected TS2 folder and ran the game with a simulated disk. It worked with no further errors :))

Hello, can anyone help me? I have installed it and even moved the crack file in the TSbin of the new location but it is showing that an unspecified error has occurred. What to do?

it still doesn”t work for me

I have the following message :
Faied to find any diretX9.0c compatible graphics adapters in this system! Pleas emake sure you have DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapters and hav einstalles the lastst drivers provided by th emanufacturer.
I can’t download direct 9.0 because it’s only for Windows 98 and XP

to anyone who is struggling about “dvd rom”, make sure there is new part below “local disk (d:) or (e:)”. this new part have the sims icon.
then when you find out that there such thing, then click right on the iso file or the zip file called the sims 2, and click open with window explorer. then the new part will appear below the local disk. then try open the game again. remember select run as administrator when you want to play the game.
hey, i followed all the instructions but when I went to the NoCD folder there’s no “sims2.exe” and its only the sims2 icon
When I try to run setup.exe is doesn’t do anything??

Guys, I just found out how to solve the problem with “There is not enough room on Sims2. You need an additional 15.0 MB to copy these files.”. All you need to do is just copy all the files on the DVD Drive and paste them into the New Volume in your PC, and copy the file on Crack to the TSbin file and everything works well, I can finally play the game!! However there is some issue while playing the game like the square black shadow under your sim character, maybe anyone know how to fix it?? Thank you!
