The Sims 2 is a 2004 strategic life simulation video game developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts. It is the sequel to The Sims. The game has the same concept as its predecessor: players control their Sims in various activities and form relationships in a manner similar to real life.

You always have to mount the iso file everytime you try to play the game, otherwise it says you should insert the CD
so mount the iso file again (in the ZIP Folder you downloaded) then go to the installed Folder (which is the one you installed with the setup) and run Sims2.exe in the TSBin folder as administrator

GUYS LISTEN UP!!!!! This will solve all ur problems!!!(hopefully) Okay first follow all of the instructions above first, then when there’s the step 5, this is where the error comes…notice when u copy the file ur computer says “requires administrators permission” thats alright but the thing which should actually pop up is “file replacement” as they said it….so this basically means there is a file missing and has nothing to do with ur computer(only works in windows 8 & 10 cuz this wont work on 7 cuz i tried) so what you should do now is, u know that sims 2 drive thingy where theres the setup, directx, ea etc. Notice the CRACK folder, open it up and there’s a sims2 there also, so always click “run as admin” and play ur game. you may try to copy that file into different locations but dont do it just in case….
if any other problems occur that basically means ur pc is not compatible… to verify this go to a web browser and type “sims 2 can i run it”,click on the first site and this should scan ur pc and tell you whether you can run it or not. But basically u can follow the above method or simply if u have a good internet connection go ahead and download “sims 2 ultimate collection” itself cuz that doesnt have this ISO file mount bullshit and is super easy…k hope that this helps u….thks C L A R Y and casia for pointing out:)
My game won’t work and every time I try to double click the dxwebsetup.exe, it says I have no space but I don’t have anything on this PC (Windows 8), and it says this:

What do I do? Please help me with this. Could someone provide me steps on what to do? It also tells me to download a DirectX thing, but idk what that is. There is no DJ files that ppl say in comments or EA Games and no sims2.exe
witch file do you mount ?
I am trying to figure out how to run the ultimate collection, every time I try to run the program, it crashes. It worked perfectly when I was running it on Windows 7, but it’s not working at all with windows 10.
It basically crashes every time I try to boot up the game, load a town, or put a sim into a house.
