The Sims 2 is a 2004 strategic life simulation video game developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts. It is the sequel to The Sims. The game has the same concept as its predecessor: players control their Sims in various activities and form relationships in a manner similar to real life.

I’ve followed the steps 100% correct, but when i launch the game (as admin) i launches, loading for a bit, but then crashes with no fault messages.
Tried to download but when half way done it fails and says the file is incomplete and to contact server administrator….

I’ve had downloaded this before and the issue I had was that the game wasn’t saving. I’d play then reload the game but all my saves were gone. Can anyone help? My laptop has little space, I’m not sure if that’s also an issue. I have an external hard drive as well
Do you encounter any issues, like error 12? If not, check your DocumentsEA GAMES folder. Is there any files says The Sims 2?

Read this post before complaining in comment section “why the game doesn’t run, etc”.
For windows XP/Vista/7, you need a program called “PowerISO” to mount .iso files.
any chance for downloading it in a mac?
i tried downloading when i clicked sims2 it says please insert the correct cd-rom select ok and restart application do i have to wait for the maxis to download or what?
No, just mount the .iso in downlaod files everytime u want to start your game.
Or follow my instructions below to have latest version of TS2.

Awesome guide, I got it the first time down. However, I made a very silly mistake some hours into my playthrough. One of my Sims accidentally died, and I ended up shutting down my computer in a panic. Really dumb mistake. It wouldn’t allow the Sims 2 to load up without the error message telling me to insert a CD afterwards. So, I uninstalled the game and tried the process again, from step 3 onwards. Now, whenever I click “run as administrator” nothing happens. I don’t know what to do. Thank you for your time.
Backup your save files in Documents/EA GAMES/The Sims 2 and reinstall it with my tutorial below.

I managed to download and open the zipped file but when I open it there is no “setup.exe” file but a “The Sims 2.iso” file and I cannot open it..

Hi! I have done all the steps but when i try to copy and paste the NoCD file into the TSBin location, all it tells me is that i don’t have enough space but i have double checked and i still have loads of space. is there anything i can do to fix this?
