The Sims 2 is a 2004 strategic life simulation video game developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts. It is the sequel to The Sims. The game has the same concept as its predecessor: players control their Sims in various activities and form relationships in a manner similar to real life.

I did “run as administrator” but nothing happens. It stills says cd is needed. Can you help me?

Once the installation has completed, open the “NoCD” folder and copy/paste “Sims2.exe” from the NoCD folder into the folder you installed the game. By default this will be “C:Program Files (x86)EA GAMESThe Sims 2TSBin”. When prompted, you must confirm that you want to replace the files in the destination
But when i copy paste “sims2” into the folder i installed the game, it says “there is not enough space” what should i do?

It doesn’t say it’s out of memory. There is no pink flashing, black square shadow, or lag, as the game is not starting up at all. I have tried setting the desktop shortcut to open in windowed mode and got the same, unspecified, error.
…I forgot to run as administrator! Now it’s working. ☺ Thanks for your help!
You can make the game to always run in administrator by right clicking on shortcut > properties > and then compatibility tab > and activate the “run this program in administrator mode”. Then click OK. This will ensure that the game always running in admin. Hope this helps 🙂
i follow ur steps and the no cd problem has been solved but the program compatibility assistant still pop up eventho i try stop it in control panel.is there any other solution? ps:mine is window 11
dont set compatibility mode.
It is still a great advice to use Graphics Rules Maker though (from my experience).

edit : nvm i use the crack file its okay now
edit 2 : the game shutted down on its own suddenly and now everytime i try to open it it says ‘unspecified error’ help pls
edit 3 : yea nvm so i forgot replacing original file w the crack one. its fine now lol

Hi I have a question. Do I have to uninstall The Sims (version 1) in order to download version 2 or can I just download it and it will add to the other version?

You need the NoCD crack of the main .exe file, which I have here, click me. I have also included in some installation instructions for you as well. 😀
