About American Idol

To re-create the challenge of performing a song in front of three judges, the game uses a rhythm meter not unlike those found in traditional dancing games, such as Konami's Dance Dance Revolution series. After creating their own potential superstar, players must learn to dance and sing in tune by tapping the correct sequence of buttons as depicted on the screen.

Each mistake or missed button press results in an off-key performance, with the character's voice cracking or wavering, and will be judged accordingly by 3D representations of Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, and Paula Abdul. Two players can compete against one another with a choice of 40 Top Ten hits from international music charts. The American Idol set has also been re-created, along with interactive crowds who will cheer or boo according to how well players perform. Can you weather the sardonic comments of judge Simon Cowell to become the next pop superstar?
