About Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock

Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock retains the basic gameplay from previous games in the Guitar Hero series, in which the player uses a guitar-shaped controller to simulate the playing of lead, bass, and rhythm guitar parts in rock songs by playing in time to scrolling notes on screen. The game, in addition to existing single-player Career modes, includes a new Co-Op Career mode and competitive challenges that pit the player against in-game characters and other players. Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock was the first game in the series to include an online multiplayer feature, which is enabled in the PlayStation 3, Wii and Xbox 360 versions. The game included over 70 songs, most of which are master tracks. The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions feature the ability to download additional songs. The musicians Tom Morello (of the bands Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave) and Slash (of Guns N' Roses and Velvet Revolver) make appearances both as guitar battle opponents and playable characters in the game. The PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows versions also include Bret Michaels (of Poison) as a non-playable character.

Love this game and have it working with single player by using joytokey and mapping my wiitar with raphnet adapter. However I cannot get two players working. The game sees both as the same keyboard input. I do see when I go in multiplayer two guitars and a keyboard, both only the keyboard seems to do anything. How can I get both guitars working with this game?

For people having difficulties installing the game, just install directx9 before doing anything and it should work

if you’re using the retrocultmod controller, you have to press both + and – at the same time to bring up the xbox tab, then with ur mouse click on guitar hero 3. I had the same problem the first time i tried but this solved it for me… hope this helps 🙂

That happens when u deleted or moved the Guitar Hero III folder. The “repair or remove” message will pop-up since it didn’t detect the file called “AWL.dll”.

Solution for that is bring the “AWL.dll” back to where you deleted or move it then open up control panel and use the “Uninstall a program” then find the Guitar Hero III.

You must’ve done something wrong. The “DATA” folder must be next the Guitar Hero III path or folder to where u installed it.

You need to right click on a file with .iso extension, then you clock on “Mount” and you will find the whole files there
