    I’m having an issue where the installer didn’t install any of the stuff packs, the game files are straight up missing from their respective folders, can anyone help?

    It worked fine at first. Now it doesn’t even open. I’ve tried the Graphics Rules Maker and now it says like “you need directx 9.0”

    when I want to turn the game on I get this thing in the middle of the screen saying something like “the application has crushed. The application will now terminate”

    Soo i downloaded the ulitmate sims 2 collection off of oldgamesdownload it will start installing then this pops up:
    ISDONE.dll An error occoured while unpacking: unable to write data to disk! Unarc.dll returned an error code: -11 Error: file write operation failed
    Not sure what to do i put it on my desk top to see if that will fix it it didnt i was told to try it i followed all the steps for installation through oldgamesdownload. Help? i wrote a other comment saying it wouldnt install i got it to start installing then the error pops up

          I had the exact same problem and I managed to get it to work by setting my CPU cores to 16 or lower since this generally occurs on 10 core or higher CPUs. If you don’t know how to change it then you can easily just Google it.

    How to properly install The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection (Tutorial)

    Step 1: Download the rar file, wait for it to download.
    Step 2: Make sure you have WinRAR in order to extract the folder to access the setup of the game.
    Step 3: Install the latest version of DirectX
    Step 5: Download the Graphics Rules Maker in order fix your sims 2 game graphics.
    Step 6: Download and apply the 4GB Patch for the game

    hey so when I try to install from the sims 2 launcher it says set up needs the next disk, please insert disc 1 with setup bin 1 i cant get past it not sure what to do im on the neweversion of windows 11. and i tried following the instructions on everything i just cant figure it out it will only let me put it in my user folder and no where else help?

    I cannot figure out how to install this game.. I’ve tried the last 2 days. I did all the steps except for finding “dxwebsetup.exe”. I found a file named “dxsetup” in the directx folder but it doesnt seem to do anything different. when i try opening the game it says it has no disc… help please 🙁

    i cannot understand how to install it for some reason. i was able to do everything in instructions except find the “dxwebsetup.exe” file. instead i found one that said dxsetup under DirectX folder. i have windows 11, is there something i can do to make this work?

    help, I can’t change shadows or resolution. The game just greys the shadows settings out, and I don’t have the files to change resolution for some reason

    I have windows 11, sadly it seems like it’s can not be downloaded, instead of a folder there is only a single rar file which not doing anything. Is there any way to make it work?

      Hey, you need to extract the rar file. Once it’s done, you’ll have a “The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection” file, open it then click “Game Files” and then double-click “Setup”. Have a nice game 😉

      it’s because it’s zipped. Download a program called WinRar, it’s free and it’s safe to download. once you’ve installed winrar, open it up, extract the sims 2 ultimate collection folder to your desktop or anywhere you like. wait for it to extract and you should be good. Once it’s extracted, open up the folder and run the setup of the game, it’ll take some time for it to download. make sure to also install the latest version of DirectX for the game to work properly. once the game has finished installing, the sims 2 icon will be available as a shortcut on your desktop, make sure to always run the game as an administrator <3
