   when I run the game, I don’t see any of the neighborhoods. The only thing I can click on is “Create Custom Neighborhood” but it says “There are no simcity 4 terrains available for import. Please place your simcity 4 files in the following folder: C:UsersAdminDocumentsEA GamesThe Sims 2SC4Terrains

   Any thoughts on how to fix it?

   It downloaded fine but when I try to create a family, it freezes and shows the message “application has crashed will now terminate”

     Sounds like your game might be corrupted.Try uninstalling and reinstalling and see if that helps! Make sure you have space on your computer.

   The game works great, however I can’t seem to make my sims into witches / wizards. The mystery man doesn’t show up and I can’t summon the grand witch through boolprop. Any ideas?

     Mystery man? He shows up in Makin Magic which is from the original The Sims series. To make a witch or wizard you should be able to either find one in Belladonna Cove (Apartment Life) or summon one via the mailbox. If this does not work, try looking up a guide on how to get a witch to appear. All NPC witches will be female.

   Hello! I’m having a problem with installing the dxwebsetup. Whenever I double click on it, it tells me “Error creating process Reason: INDOWSsystem32advpack.dll” Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!

   My download went fine, and I can get to the point where I’m in a household before I get my issue. When I click, the pop-up action menu appears for about half a second before it disappears again, making it very difficult to get my sims to do anything, and therefore disrupting the game entirely. I’m on a Lenovo Yoga and while I know it’s not a gaming laptop, it runs the Sims 4 with mods just fine. Does anyone know what the issue might be? Thanks x

     After looking into several websites for bugs and fixes for the game, I’ve found one through a GameFAQ’s discussion post and it seems it’s been a running problem in Sims 2 for several years. Solutions boiled down to driver problems with trackpad / mouse, or cleaning your keyboard etc etc. However, theres a fix from official EA Support and here are the steps:
     · Click on Start
     · Right-Click on My Computer
     · Click on Properties
     · On System Properties, click on the Advanced tab
     · Click on the Settings button under Performance
     · Click on Advanced under Performance Options
     · The third box from the top should be labelled Virtual Memory. Click on the Change button.
     · Make sure that the Custom option is selected.
     · In the Initial Box, set it to 1000
     · In the Maximum Box, set it to 3000
     · Click on the Set button, then Ok.

    So, I downloaded it but it didn’t download as a zip file, there’s no option to extract anything.

    I cant seem to open the bin file. I have winCDemu installed but I cant make an ISO with it. Does anyone know what to do?

    Does anyone know what you have to do when it says ‘Setup Needs the Next Disk’ popup? It appears when I already clicked on setup and then install. And what does it mean when it says at the bottom ‘Please insert disc: 1 with Setup-1.bin? I’ve downloaded the game before but I never got this popup.

    Sorry if this is actually incredibly easy but I’m just really desperate to play the game again D:<

    Does anyone know how to add mods/cc? I’m not sure where to create the downloads folder, I’ve tried in the Double Deluxe and mansion & garden folders but nothing shows up in game :/

      you have to go into computer documents then put it into sims 2 ( base game) download folder

      yes just go to documents or toward whatever location you installed Sims 2 (preferably the documents folder) then put mods into the sims 2 (Base Game) downloads folder

    Hi ! First a lot of thanks for this setup, it works fine on my laptop. My 8-years-old kid appreciate. I have one problem for him. We are french and we can’t change the registry key like writen in the notepad document because there is not entry EA GAMES in HKLM/Software. I don’t know where put the Language Key Registry (and its type : chain ? DWORD ?). Thanks for your answer et for spending time on the game 😉

      Bonjour 🙂 J’ai moi aussi galéré pour mettre en français en fait c’est simple!
      Si vous ne le trouvez pas là où ils disent que c’est, c’est que c’est “caché” dans un autre méga dossier! Tant que vous êtes dans HKEY LOCAL MACHINE, essayez de fouinez partout jusqu’à trouver EA Games et tous les jeux.
      Vous aurez un V.1 dans chaque, et quand vous l’ouvrez y’a (ENFIN) ce fichier bleu “Language” !! C’est celui ci que vous devrez modifier!
      Vous devrez le faire pour chaque Add-on.
      Si ça peut vous aider, moi c’était dans un dossier appelé WOW6432NODE ! lol (wtf)
      J’espère que ça vous aura aidé 🙂
